That was the selling point. ,3$ a hotdog & 15$ poutine for very mid food that should be cheap. Not cool anymore. Fries are soggy, sauce is the powder, & barly curds
Toujours bon, mes poutines favorites. Nous aimons bien quand c'est Yola qui est là. Gentille & très efficace.
GreenSpot is my favourite place to get poutine in the entire city.
J'en ai beaucoup entendu parler en bien. La poutine est bonne & est une bonne portion. Le milkshake est bon aussi. L'ambiance cantine est vraiment réussie & les hot dogs sont à la hauteur.
Classic diner serving up all of the Quebecoise staples - steamies, poutines, subs, clubs & more. If you are a tourist & want an authentic taste of Montreal, this would be a great pick. Close to the metro so it's easy to get to even in the cold winters, with warming service to welcome you. The food is always prepared fast. This place is comfortable to dine in, perfect diner experience.
Finally tried out Greenspot Restaurant, an old school diner institution, known for their breakfast & poutine. - The house combo ($16.25) - smoked meat, crepe, bacon, ham, sausage, beans, toast & hash browns. Nothing memorable, heavy - Grilled cheese ($7.45) - meh. Skip it - 2 eggs with ham ($11.25) - standard fare - BLT with egg & cheese ($10.75)
This poutine was really nice & the hot dog made it even better but was very salty! But still good !!!
Typically, we visit the green spot for breakfast. However, on this visit we chose to go for lunch. I'm not sure if everyone's trying to make up for losses during covid, but to charge $9.75 for a BLT sandwich on White bread is just a bit excessive considering the majority of the sandwich was a large hunk of iceberg lettuce & 2 slices of bacon. Additionally, to charge $9.75 for a mini Poutine seems also a bit over the top.
This is the spot for a great Montreal Poutine. The best gravy in town! Sandwiches are great too, I usually take the smoked meat sandwich. Service is pretty good (although a bit slow at times because it's always super busy!) & the vibe is awesome! It takes you back to the good old days. Totally recommend.
The best diner in Le Sud-Ouest! Potentially the world . The Poutine is the best value / taste, although i hear the sandwhiches are pretty good as well. Lotta memories at the Greenspot.
The driest Italian poutine I have ever tasted. The sauce was so dry that it could not penetrate the fries or cheese. Basically very poor quality & taste.
Classic Québécois diner serving wonderful poutine (27 varieties) & smoked meat sandwiches among other classic diner eats. The Classique is a perfect poutine with dark rich gravy & perfectly squeaky cheese curds. Best gravy in town. I would recommend the medium smoked meat sandwich also. A must visit when in Montréal.
Super cool & old-school, I would say this is the best poutine in Montreal. I highly recommend the St. Henry Witch, which comes with pieces of steak. One important thing that caught my eye is that their fries are not soggy & are real fries, not the pre-made ones.
J ai mangé un hamburger avec une boulette calcinée La poutine n était pas mangeable Frite mal cuite , la sauce était gluante & mauvais goût Je suis très déçus Donc petite poutine & hamburger Avec taxes & tissus = $ 23.00
We grabbed 2 classic poutines to go. Tremendous, flawless, can't recommend enough!
Went in for a poutine, got poutine, I had no prior experience on it so I guess it was good & perfect but just not for me. Service was great, the atmosphere was really an authentic diner experience so highly recommend if you like that. Nathans hotdogs looked delicious & one member of our group spoke highly of them. Wine/beer selection was a bit small but I guess they arent the main attraction there.
