Greenspot est perçu comme une institution montréalaise au charme rétro, offrant une cuisine réconfortante de type casse croûte avec poutines généreuses, smoked meat et burgers, et des brunchs copieux à prix raisonnables. Première visite, suggestion de mon fils car je lui avait mentionné que j'aimerais bien manger de la poutine. Je fus agréablement surpris en mangeant une poutine accompagné de morceaux de Smoke Meat, délicieuse avec leur sauce brune bien à eux.

I only had a few bites of my poutine as the fries were horrible, undercooked & possibly old. None of the waitresses, despite seeing my almost untouched plate, even bothered to ask for feedback. Sadly, this is a dying institution.
Good authentic diner wither simple diner vibes, laidback, don't expect anything fancy (don't come up with intolerances but there are options for all) but real & genuine people coming in & out for the simple food, not the place to chill for hours. Service is fast & the food is good. I prefer breakfasts in general but they do have a mean poutine that will scare away a 5 days old hangover & smoked meet is good.
It was my first night on my first-ever trip to Montreal (back in November 2025), & a friend of mine back home (who is Montreal born & raised) highly recommended that I should go here for a bite to eat.
After getting checked into my hotel room earlier in the evening, I decided to make this my first stop.
After my server led me to a table by the TV, I ordered the St-Henri poutine & an orange pop. The food was served quicker than I expected (which is not a bad thing) & I then proceeded to do what many Montrealers must have done over many decades while in here, enjoy my poutine while watching the Montreal Canadiens on TV.... 😊😁
The food was fantastic, & Erin the server's attentiveness was great too.
All in all, a very enjoyable experience on my first night in Montreal!

I have come here the entirety of my studies for a hearty meal after long hours at the library, & they never disappoint.
The preparation is quick, the meal is warm & delicious, & they don't hesitate to go heavy on the cheese & the sauce.
I particularly like the Bonheur D'Occasion, it is my favorite by far. I highly recommend for those who want a twist on the classic but do not eat meat!
Lovely people, lovely food, lovely place. Great for a dinner between friends or family to warm up from the winter.
Service & Atmosphere were great. Parking is the worst in this area. Heard this was one of the best spots in MTL for poutine sadly It's not….but the Hotdogs are great & the smoked meat was good. Avoid the chicken souvlaki, bland rice & underdressed salad & overcooked chicken. For a Greek diner I expected better. Poutine was mid, tasted more like Ontario style, bland & curds while plentiful were not squeaky. Great atmosphere & again amazing service. This spot is def best for Steamés & probably awesome for breakfast. The fountain coke is super good at this place.
It's my first time, & while the New Yorker dog was delicious, the poutine was slightly bland. Unfortunately, i know part of the problem was flavourless potatoes. I will return, but so far, I was underwhelmed.
