Greenspot est perçu comme une institution montréalaise au charme rétro, offrant une cuisine réconfortante de type casse croûte avec poutines généreuses, smoked meat et burgers, et des brunchs copieux à prix raisonnables. I'd say it was a good poutine! I've been told there are other good places but I'd say this is around a 4-4.5/5 Good service, free wifi, nice classic diner vibe & located close to atwater market!

Came here for breakfast. It was relatively early on a Sunday so there was plenty of free street parking & also no lineup to get a table. Service was great & the waitress was very quick & attentive. The food is priced very competitively & tasted descent. The kids menu pancake was somewhat thick to our taste. The decor is like a classic diner & I think they should keep it this way. All in all, great experience & one of the hidden gems in Montreal.

I love the look of this place, a classic diner with old jukeboxes & booths. Limited gluten-free options but the server bent over backwards to find me options. Ended up with a cheeseburger lettuce wrap & fries which were both delicious! My friends had poutines & they both loved it too. I recommend stopping in when you are in Montreal.
I really like the old-timey feel of this restaurant. Even though it tends to be quite busy on weekends you never have to wait for more than a few minutes. Their food is classic diner food, greasy, cheap, & delicious :) the waitstaff are friendly enough & the food arrives quite fast. Their poutines are a must try!

Classic! Probably not much has changed since 1947!! Best poutine & chocolate shake in Montreal (.... who really compares?!) Check it out, mini juke boxes at tables! Haha

I loooove this place & have been here many times. The food is always spot on (it’s a classic greasy spoon, so good comfort food) & the atmosphere is endearingly nostalgic (chalkboard menu, pickled vegetables in mason jars, jukebox). HOWEVER, I’m giving this 3 stars today, September 3, because the cashier overcharged us. The receipt from the waitress had the total at 36$, the cashier put 42$, & with the 15% tip (which the waitress, Jacky, deserved) it came to 48$ — a good 12$ difference!!! This has never happened in all the times we’ve been to the Greenspot (again, love this place) but today definitely tainted the experience. I don’t think we’ll be back for a while 😞
ETA: I just read the other recent reviews & apparently this isn’t an isolated incident. The cashier is the short young girl with very curly hair in double buns. She needs disciplinary consequences to her actions — she is cheating your customers!!!

Super classic place serving super classic Montreal specialties. Some of the poutine was very salty in a not pleasant way but others were tasty. You sort of get what you expect, nothing more & nothing less
