Located in UQAM’s School of Management Services pavilion, Ginkgo is a unique concept. We give you an unprecedented resto/bar and a reflective gastronomy. We will satisfy student’s needs of course, but also the needs of academic staff and business customers of the sector. Looking forward to welcoming you there.
Overall, Ginkgo Café Bar comes across as a stylish and cozy brunch spot that many reviews find convenient for after class or work. The vibe and decor are commonly praised, and service is described as friendly and fast on some visits, though slower or less attentive during busy periods. The menu earns praise for flavorful brunch dishes, generous portions, and standout items like halloumi salad, but several meals are called bland, lukewarm, or lacking flavor, and some reviews note changes to the menu and pricing. Beverages are a highlight for many, with solid coffee, a popular bottomless mimosa, and good cocktails at happy hour, though a few guests feel inclusions or pricing could be clearer. Experience can vary by visit, with occasional concerns about value for money, small issues such as hair in food or cleanliness, and noise levels depending on the time of day. Taken together, it remains a go-to spot for brunch and casual drinks with a mix of positive remarks about staff and atmosphere interspersed with criticisms of price or consistency.
The food was delicious, especially the flavourful potatoes & tasty 3-cheese omelette. The menu was excellent with a lot of choices. & the $30 all you can drink in 90min Tower Mimosa's looked fabulous! 🍹 A suggestion might be that the Server promote this when taking your order! (We didn't order it)
I loved all the windows & the set-up of the establishment. A very quaint cafe. However it was quite expensive considering the ambiance, as the furniture itself was dated & mismatched & staff were unrecognizable in their attire. At first, I had no idea who actually was working there compared to the patrons. My opinion would be a more uniformed look for the servers & logos on their shirts, drawing a more sophisticated look of an upscale cafe that suits their price point. Also it took a while for us to get service to start with a coffee or beverage. Then for my meal, they brought me the wrong order. & I understand accidents happen, but usually a restaurant would then compliment the meal after having to wait 10 more minutes while the other person ate their food. This is just custom courtesy in the restaurant industry. But overall, the food is great & some simple changes would improve the overall dining experience.
This cafe is cute & cozy, & the service isn't bad either, but I thought the food would be way better. I got the veggie tacos, & they didn't have much flavor, plus the tofu had a weird, old, maybe frozen texture. My boyfriend's poutine was good & tasty, though.

I don't often leave reviews but I was particularly impressed. I asked for a slight modification in my meal & they got it wrong. When I informed them they not only gave me an entirely new plate, they said I could keep the original & apologized. Top notch service.
workers were nice but food was cold, latte was clumping up, ordered a crepe had barely any chocolate, no whipped cream left no more jnives left no more sugar either was a joke
