We stopped at Ginko Café & Bar for breakfast & really enjoyed it. The place was pretty busy when we arrived, but we were seated right away. Service was a little slow to get started, but once things got moving, everything went smoothly.

We tried a crêpe, waffle, poached eggs, & an omelette, along with a few oat milk lattes to properly fuel us for the day. Everything was tasty & hit the spot!

The café itself has a cute, welcoming atmosphere & was clearly a popular morning spot. Good food, good coffee, & a nice start to our day exploring Montreal.

I've been to Ginkgo before & have always loved the food but today the service was non-existent. We were 2 people, got sat right away, waited 30 minutes before asking for a glass of water because no one came to see us. 30 more minutes pass, still haven't met our waiter, we didn't have a chance to even order coffee. After waiting for 1 hour we asked 2 staff members if we could please order & no one came to see us. We left without even getting a chance to taste the coffee. I've never had such a bad experience, I can understand they were understaffed but would have appreciated a heads up from our waiter (who we have yet to meet).

Le serveur n'a pas été poli du tout, a eu un comportement très transphobe & ne s'est pas occupé de nous : il n'a jamais rempli nos verres d'eau ni débarrassé la table. Une de ses collègues a dû venir débarrasser à sa place. Après 15 minutes d'attente, nous avons dû demander à un autre employé pour pouvoir payer, mais nous avons encore été ignorés.
Quand le serveur est enfin revenu dans notre secteur après une trentaine de minutes, j'ai décidé de ne pas lui laisser de pourboire en raison du service déplorable. Il m'a alors presque sauté au visage en haussant la voix & en m'appelant « monsieur ». J'avais peur qu'il devienne violent. Je ne recommande absolument pas cet endroit.

Nourriture assez bonne & endroit très vivant. Prix un peu élevé. Même s'il se trouve dans un pavillon de l'UQAM, ne vous méprenez pas, ce n'est pas du tout un bon endroit pour étudier.

Absolutely TERRIBLE service, not only did we get sat at a table but then had to ask for service to even get waters + coffees out which took 20 minutes & the place was not even busy.

We then had to ask for if our food is ready after we waiting for 45 minutes AGAIN. We didn't order something complicated either. We got 2 eggs Benedict's.

To top it off, we never got our waters filled or even asked how our food was. I had to leave a zero tip because I was that disgusted in the service.
What a joke & a waste of time, don't bother spending your money here. It's a joke. Never had this bad of service at a restaurant in my life.
