We stopped at Ginko Café & Bar for breakfast & really enjoyed it. The place was pretty busy when we arrived, but we were seated right away. Service was a little slow to get started, but once things got moving, everything went smoothly.

We tried a crêpe, waffle, poached eggs, & an omelette, along with a few oat milk lattes to properly fuel us for the day. Everything was tasty & hit the spot!

The café itself has a cute, welcoming atmosphere & was clearly a popular morning spot. Good food, good coffee, & a nice start to our day exploring Montreal.

I've been to Ginkgo before & have always loved the food but today the service was non-existent. We were 2 people, got sat right away, waited 30 minutes before asking for a glass of water because no one came to see us. 30 more minutes pass, still haven't met our waiter, we didn't have a chance to even order coffee. After waiting for 1 hour we asked 2 staff members if we could please order & no one came to see us. We left without even getting a chance to taste the coffee. I've never had such a bad experience, I can understand they were understaffed but would have appreciated a heads up from our waiter (who we have yet to meet).

Absolutely TERRIBLE service, not only did we get sat at a table but then had to ask for service to even get waters + coffees out which took 20 minutes & the place was not even busy.

We then had to ask for if our food is ready after we waiting for 45 minutes AGAIN. We didn't order something complicated either. We got 2 eggs Benedict's.

To top it off, we never got our waters filled or even asked how our food was. I had to leave a zero tip because I was that disgusted in the service.
What a joke & a waste of time, don't bother spending your money here. It's a joke. Never had this bad of service at a restaurant in my life.

The food was delicious, especially the flavourful potatoes & tasty 3-cheese omelette. The menu was excellent with a lot of choices. & the $30 all you can drink in 90min Tower Mimosa's looked fabulous! 🍹 A suggestion might be that the Server promote this when taking your order! (We didn't order it)
I loved all the windows & the set-up of the establishment. A very quaint cafe. However it was quite expensive considering the ambiance, as the furniture itself was dated & mismatched & staff were unrecognizable in their attire. At first, I had no idea who actually was working there compared to the patrons. My opinion would be a more uniformed look for the servers & logos on their shirts, drawing a more sophisticated look of an upscale cafe that suits their price point. Also it took a while for us to get service to start with a coffee or beverage. Then for my meal, they brought me the wrong order. & I understand accidents happen, but usually a restaurant would then compliment the meal after having to wait 10 more minutes while the other person ate their food. This is just custom courtesy in the restaurant industry. But overall, the food is great & some simple changes would improve the overall dining experience.

The food & coffee was great, but the restaurant could use a few upgrades to add some atmosphere - it is surprisingly basic & even shabby. The service was somewhere between terrible & indifferent. My daughter was given a glass of some kind of vinegar/cleanser (which she took a sip of before realizing!), & our server couldn't have cared less. She simply said a dismissive "sorry" & replaced the vinegar with actual water. I would've expected my daughter's coffee to be comped at the very, very least! We were both very confused by the rude service.

The food was great & the portions are really good for the price. I wish they had more vegan options because so much of their menu has eggs. The service was good & the overall ambience was good too. We received our food not long after ordering & the server came around to refill coffee.

Food is decent, breakfast taco was delicious, & the eggs benedicts with potatoes are very good. The coffee & iced coffee tastes very watery, would not recommend

Food was very disappointing - got waffles with « English cream » that was in fact vanilla pudding & tasted like it, & an Eggs Florentine with uncooked spinach, untoasted bread & unmelted cheddar cheese. The kitchen was unable to make their meat lovers Benedict with 2 instead of 3 (or 1) meats, which was the only reason I ended up with a half-baked eggs florentine instead. The only redeeming qualities were a solid cappuccino, due to the filter coffee machine being broken, & very pleasant service. Embarrassing for 20$ per meal with no drinks included. A clear downgrade from a very nice experience with similar meals a few years ago.

Nice decor & service, but below mediocre coffee (had latte) & the worst smoothie (had raspberry+ blueberry, this didn't taste good, & ingredients didn't taste fresh).
