Forever on a quest to find decent pizza near us (within delivery range), we tried Gigi's last night based purely on the solid reviews from both Uber eats & google. I just want to start this review by providing context - we love pizza. We have a wood fired oven in the backyard. We have special pizza stone & pans for the regular oven in the house. We have been to different regions in Italy to take classes on making pizza. Pizza is an iconic food & we respect its cultural significance all over the world. We have big respect for pizza. Having said that - I can say that GIGI is now our go to place for pizza for delivery pizza in our area. It's Monteal style pizza with quality ingredients & toppings that they load on. With Uber eats it was almost a hundred bucks for a large & medium (pep on top & the Gigi special) but it was worth every penny. Gigi's is our new go to place for take out night 🤌 I'm eating a slice cold right now! Yum! Pep on top!

They offer great variety of Italian pizza, pasta & lasagna. Their pizza is very special since they are creative with toppings & they add extra cheese. We ordered a medium Special Gigi pizza, a small Deluxe pizza & French Fries for the three of us. Gigi Special pizza is topped with steak & Deluxe is topped with bacon & onions. What we ordered was way more than enough & we had so much leftovers to bring home since you start feeling full after the first slice. Both of our choices were equally delicious, but my favorite was Special Gigi Pizza.

Every corner of Quebec seems to have its cherished pizza haven, a place where the locals hold fervent convictions that it reigns supreme in terms of being the most delectable, the oiliest, the cheesiest, or the heartiest, among other attributes.

Gigi Pizzeria transcends mere nourishment; it encapsulates the essence of comfort food, a testament to their genuine care, & an emblematic ode to the enduring appeal of the quintessential classic pizza. Each bite unravels a symphony of gooey cheese strands that meld seamlessly with hearty, meat-laden toppings, a stark departure from the flimsy, featherweight boxes that typify other pizzerias. Bringing home a Gigi pizza is akin to bringing home a complete culinary experience, leaving no room for hunger & ensuring a delightful encore with leftovers that retain their delectable allure, even the day after.

Such is the magic of this pizzeria that whenever I entertain friends visiting from the United States, a trip to Gigi’s is non-negotiable. They’ve never before experienced submarine sandwiches, pizzas, or poutines quite like those served at Gigi’s. In the grand hierarchy of Montreal’s pizza offerings, Gigi’s proudly sits at the apex, embodying the pinnacle of pizza excellence in the city.

My commitment to this gastronomic haven knows no bounds. I willingly embark on a journey that spans the entire length of the island, traversing from one end to the other, solely for the purpose of acquiring Gigi’s exceptional pizza. Sadly, I've only been here about a dozen occasions. I love trying new restaurants which takes up my eat-out time. (Sorry I've been cheating on you GiGi).

I've only had the pizza & each & every time it has been perfect. Service is friendly.

Note that this is a very small restaurant & if you decide to eat in, instead of takeout then you will quickly find that the booths are not made for plus-size people.

So my suggestion for a sunny day would be to pick up your pizza & walk a couple minutes to St Joachim church which overlooks Lac St Louis & make a picnic out of it.
