Niché au pied du bâtiment historique de la maison RCA, le Gia: Vin & Grill vu de l'extérieur ressemble à ces cuves de béton ou fermente l'elixir d’une recette de qualité sans artifice et superflus ajoutés. Gia a été imaginé pour toutes les envies et fringales de la journée à vos soirées entre amis autour d’un dîners assis, ou si l’humeur se prête plus festive, s’accouder au comptoir de notre caviste sans réservation.
Les critiques convergent vers une expérience très positive chez Gia Vin & Grill, louant une cuisine italienne inventive et soignée, des plats comme les arrosticini d’agneau et la focaccia, des fruits de mer frais et des pâtes parfaitement réalisées, ainsi que des desserts remarquables et une carte de vins impressionnante guidée par des sommeliers compétents. Le cadre est fréquemment décrit comme chaleureux et convivial, avec une ambiance à la fois raffinée et accessible, parfois légèrement industrielle ou rétro, qui convient aux repas romantiques comme aux soirées entre amis. We dined at Gia during the Roscioli pop-up & were completely blown away! It was our first time at Gia but will certainly not be out last.
Inside the nondescript concrete building that houses Gia is a warm & inviting atmosphere that is just loud enough to create a vibe, but not too loud where you can't share an intimate conversation with your date.
We were greeted warmly & the server answered all of our questions with a smile, while making some excellent meal suggestions.
We started with cocktails, a white negroni, which hit every note, & a Paper Plane, which my wife enjoyed from the first sip to the last.
On the food front, we began with the fried artichokes, which were crisp & cooked to perfection & a delicious squash dish which had cheese, pears & hazelnuts -- equally tasty!.
We moved on to the Carbonara, which was utterly perfect. Cooked to al dente deliciously crisp guanciale scattered throughout. We also sampled the mezze pasta in a spicy, rich tomato sauce with crisp guanciale (can never have too much). Exceptional.
Next we had the braised short rib, which fell apart at a glance, served with some balsamic glazed cippolini onions which cut through the luxurious richness of the dish. We paired this with the braised puntarelle, a unique bitter green which was coated in a delicious dressing/sauce & was an excellent match with the beef.
The server & sommelier were both very knowledgeable with the wines & made some excellent suggestions which proved to be lovely pairings with the meal.
Needless to say, we were stuffed, satisfied & had an overall amazing time at Gia. 10/10.
We dined here during the roscioli popup, & we had a great time! The service was great, & the ambiance was just right. The food was delish, with the zucchini & the pastas being the highlights of the meal. We'll for sure be coming again.

Overall good food, but the portions are small especially for the starters (fish & duck croquettes). We tried the pesto pasta, the pasta was supposed to be al dente but was essentially raw & undercooked. We also took a meat which lived up to the hype, but the waiter gave us potato wedges which he said were on the house & ended up charging us for it.
Have been to this resto many times before that why always went back. This time reserv at 8pm, The minute we sat down waitress came up & asked for our order. She seemed annoyed that we haven't even picked drinks yet. All to say We really felt rushed by the waitress to order eat & leave. Alas, so many good experiences at this resto ruined by one
You can close your eyes & pick anything on the menu & you would still be happy. Everything we ordered was delicious. Still thinking about their duck pasta & steak. Immaculate vibe & food.

A casual, hip atmosphere that's a little off the beaten track, Gia Vin Grill offers wonderfully delicious artisanal fare with a gracious wait staff & accomplished, creative bar. We enjoyed every morsel-skewers of lamb, beef & pork; tomato salad with burrata; homemade focaccia; perfectly prepared hangar steak, lamb shank, & grilled pork chop-all to beat the band. We closed w/homemade gelato, hazelnut cake with Chantilly cream & berries + tiramisu-each one more delicious than the next. Will we return. You bet without question.
The food here was truly amazing. We had the raw halibut which was similar to a ceviche, the muscles with the salsa which were my favourite, pork & beef skewers, as well as three different salads, the green mint bean salad, the salad with mixed greens, as well as the zucchini salad. We also had the grilled arctic char & the lobster risotto. The risotto portion, I expected to be larger esp as a main, but with all the food we had, we were full.
