Les avis sur Gema Pizzeria dessinent une experience globalement positive, avec des pizzas dont la croûte est souvent delicieuse et bien doree et des garnitures généralement equilibrees; la salade Jean Talon est frequemment citee comme un coup de coeur et l'ambiance conviviale, avec un service attentif lorsque l'equipe est en place, est souvent mentionnee comme un point fort. This is the second time in a row that the central one-third of the crust of my pizza was undercooked - virtually raw. At $25 (before taxes), one accepts better.

The crust was delicious & nicely blistered, however the toppings didn't quite come together for me. The balsamic vinegar on the fior di latte, micro arugula, & prosciutto pizza felt like a note that pulled the balance off, at least for me.
The Jean Talon market salad however, had me singing. It was fresh & vibrant - especially impressive in the middle of January. I would absolutely recommend the salad.
The tiramisu fell a bit flat for me. I was really hoping for more intensity & flavor.
The atmosphere hit all the markers of a casual neighborhood pizza spot. Overall, it was a very enjoyable stop.

Tout était excellent. Cependant mettre le pourboire par défaut à 18% sur la machine c'est un floué le client. Oui il est toujours possible de faire autre mais dans la précipitation on choisit le défaut qui est censé être 15% comme partout ailleurs.
Je trouve cela malhonnête de mettre 18% par défaut. Tout le monde fait fasse à des hausses de coûts mais faut pas prendre les clients pour des tirelires sans fond.

My partner & I visited on a Saturday evening & ordered the Jean Talon salad, fried calamari, Capricciosa, & Diavola pizzas. Located in the heart of Little Italy, the restaurant sits among numerous excellent dining options in the area.
The service was outstanding-attentive, professional, & accommodating. The interior is nicely decorated, though we were seated beneath a large light fixture in the center of the room where the lights continuously flickered in intensity, which became somewhat distracting.
The Jean Talon salad was excellent-fresh greens with a standout vinaigrette. Unfortunately, the fried calamari fell short of expectations. They lacked the crispiness I was hoping for, arriving pale & soft. The seasoning was too mild for my taste, & the accompanying tomato dip was one-dimensional, lacking any depth beyond basic tomato flavor.
The pizzas, however, were excellent. Both were generously sized with well-balanced toppings & a lovely crust.
We'll definitely return, though we'll skip the calamari next time-& hopefully the lighting issue will be resolved.
Une belle découverte en novembre dernier. Tout était parfait. Nous avons opté pour la pizza du mois qui s'est avérée un délice. Service impeccable, ambiance agréable.
nous avons été très bien reçus alors que nous arrivions assez tard - les plats étaient super, traditionnels avec des produits frais on a passé un très bon moment
I was said that I'm the fussiest pizza eater. I'm never satisfied but THIS pizza spectacular!!!! I give it the highest score possible. Now we all know that 10 is perfect score.,.,, & only God is 10…so I leave the decision to who ever comes he … wow!!!
Sorry Stefano, but I have had better pizzas here in the past. Tasted bland. Sauce was disappointing. Cheese was unrelated. Pistachio pesto add on was subpar.

Ambiance convivial, service excellent, entrée calamar & crevette frit, la pâte à pizza, desserts juste parfaits. Rien à dire c'était une magnifique soirée
