I came for the bajri rotla & phulka rotis, & it was the hidden gem which served everything fresh. Both were incredibly fresh & soft, & the rotla paired perfectly with the ringna no olo (roasted eggplant). The flavors were authentic, & the quality of ingredients was evident. Their street food selection is incredible too-especially the chaat. It's hard to find authentic flavors like this in Canada, but Foodine delivers. Highly recommend! Ps: It felt like i took a trip back to india. I am so gonna visit Foodine (Montreal) again.
Ekdum Mast che !! Foodine Restaurant offers an authentic taste of Gujarati cuisine, showcasing the flavors of traditional Indian vegetarian dishes. The restaurant provides a warm, inviting ambiance with friendly staff & prompt service. The waitress knew her menu very well. She even suggested tons of edits & suggested offers as per elders Swami Narayan menu. The menu features a variety of Gujarati specialties like undhiyu, dhokla, kadhi, & thepla, all prepared with a balance of spices & fresh ingredients. The thali options are a highlight, offering a complete meal experience with a variety of small dishes, perfect for those who want to sample multiple flavors in one sitting. Portions are VERY generous so be mindful.
Delicious Gujarati cuisine with authentic flavors & warm hospitality at foodine restaurant. The *kathiawadi thali & surati Thali* were a highlight, with a perfect balance of sweet & savory dishes. Don't miss the surati khaman. A must-visit for a true taste of Gujarat!

This restaurant exceeded all expectations. The menu is diverse, catering to all taste buds, with everything from hearty, wholesome dishes to lighter, fresh options.
Foodine Restaurant in Montreal offers an authentic & flavorful Kathiyawadi Thali. The smoky eggplant curry with Bajri Rotla, jaggery, & ghee is a must-try, sev tameta & other all the varieties were very delicious. The cozy ambiance & friendly service enhance the dining experience, making it a perfect spot for vegetarian Indian cuisine lovers. Highly recommended!
We recently dined at Foodine in downtown Montreal, & it was an unforgettable experience. This cozy little restaurant has quickly become one of my favorite spots, especially for their authentic Gujarati cuisine. From the moment I walked in, I felt a warm, welcoming atmosphere that reminded me of home. The staff was incredibly friendly & attentive, making sure every detail of my dining experience was perfect. The food, however, was the star of the show. Every dish was bursting with flavors that took me back to my roots. The Gujarati thali was a highlight, with its delightful combination of savory, sweet, & tangy elements, just like my grandmother used to make. Each bite was a nostalgic journey, & I could tell that the chefs put a lot of love & care into their cooking. In addition to the thali, the dhokla & thepla were simply outstanding. They were fresh, perfectly seasoned, & paired beautifully with the chutneys. It's rare to find such authentic Gujarati food outside of India, & Foodine truly excels in bringing the flavors of Gujarat to Montreal. Overall, Foodine is a gem in the heart of downtown Montreal. It's a must-visit for anyone craving genuine Indian cuisine, especially if you're looking for that special taste of home. I highly recommend it & can't wait to return for another delicious meal.

When in Montreal & you crave Vegetarian Indian food, you should visit Foodine Restaurant at Queen Mary! The Restaurant is a delightful gem for anyone seeking authentic vegetarian Indian cuisine, especially those with a taste for Gujarati, Kathiyawadi, & Indian chaat items. The ambiance is warm & inviting, adorned with traditional Indian decor that sets the perfect mood for a memorable dining experience. The two highlights were: 1) Kadhai Paneer: One of the highlights of Foodine's menu is their Kadhai Paneer. The paneer is exceptionally fresh & tender, cooked to perfection with a robust blend of spices. The dish is a medley of vibrant flavors, with bell peppers & onions adding a delightful crunch. The gravy is rich & flavorful, perfectly balancing the spicy & tangy notes. It's a must-try for anyone who appreciates a well-executed classic. 2) Shahi Paneer: The Shahi Paneer at Foodine lives up to its regal name. This dish is a creamy, luscious concoction that is both indulgent & satisfying. The paneer cubes are soft & soak up the rich, nutty gravy beautifully. The sauce, made with cashews & cream, is delicately spiced, making it a smooth & rich delight without being overpowering. It's an excellent choice for those who enjoy creamy, mildly spiced curries. Beyond these standout dishes, Foodine offers an impressive variety of other vegetarian delights. Their Gujarati & Kathiyawadi offerings are authentic & flavorful, capturing the essence of regional Indian cuisine. The street food section of the menu is equally commendable, featuring popular items like Pani Puri & Dahi Puri, Samosa, etc., which are prepared with great care & taste just like the ones you'd find in bustling Indian markets. The service at Foodine is prompt & courteous, with staff members who are knowledgeable & passionate about the food they serve. During our three-night stay in Montreal with my parents & friends, we sought authentic cuisine. At Foodine, we were delighted to discover the genuine flavors of Indian cuisine we had been craving. The staff provided exceptional service, offering personalized attention throughout our dining experience. Additionally, despite certain dishes not being listed on the menu, the staff graciously accommodated our preferences & prepared them specifically for us. Our enjoyment of the food was unparalleled, making it a highly recommended restaurant deserving of a visit.
I had always ordered from them online but had never visited this place in person. Food: We ordered the premium thali with Undhiyu, Daal, roti, rice, bengan bharta. They were all fresh & delicious. The bengan bharta had a strong smokey flavor which my friend loved. The am ras & basundi were great too. It was my first time having basundi & am ras so I have nothing to compare it to. But it was tasty. Service: Quick & pleasant. Ambiance: Relaxing, calm & a clean resto! Will be back!

Located in basement. Small sized. Limited seating.
This is on a weekday evening, dinner. I'm the first followed by people for dinner.
I tried chole bature & was disappointed because the chole was lacking flavor & the poori became crunchy.
Service was alright, serving time was okay.
It was just an okay experience for me.
Their thali seemed tempting Not sure how it would be (they're gonna serve the same curry right?)
