Must visit if you are in Montreal.
Foodine offers an impressive array of vegetarian options, but their Gujarati thali stole the show for me. The dishes were incredibly flavorful, from the sweet & spicy dal to the perfectly spiced Shaaks. The unlimited thali ensures you get a bit of everything, & the variety is outstanding. with the buttermilk & Aam Ras satisfying the tummy giving a fairy tale bliss to the unlimited thaal. Whether you're craving comfort food or something more indulgent, this place has you covered. Their street food options, like bhel & chaat, are also top-notch! Moreover i would highly recommend their rotis, rotla, began bharta, sev tameta, undhiyu puri, khichdi & Kadhi (they are top notch)! & also the combo of Indian masala tea & Theplas is must try!
Staff is so welcoming & ready too help you with smile. For sure will come back . Best Indian food in Montreal! Tried their Chinese too & was awesome, quality & taste was good, & quantity was justified against price! When in Montreal try this hidden gem♥?!!!
We had a wonderful experience at Foodine Restaurant! If you're craving authentic Gujarati thali, this is the place to be. The food felt just like home-flavorful, fresh, & full of love.
The baingan bharta was perfectly spiced, the undhiyu rich & comforting, & the mango ras was simply divine. We also loved the Surati pattice-crispy on the outside & bursting with flavor inside.
There was a wide variety of dishes, & each one had that special homemade touch. The staff was warm & welcoming, making our family outing even more enjoyable.
Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy real Gujarati food in a cozy, family-friendly setting. We'll definitely be back!
Tried the Surti Thali at Food One, Montréal - & it was absolutely delicious!
Authentic Gujarati flavors, generous portions, & a perfect mix of sweet, spicy, & savory dishes. Tasted just like a home-cooked meal. Highly recommend it - a must-try for anyone craving gujarati comfort food!
Initially the service was very slow & we had to wait for almost half an hour. But once I tasted the thali I felt it was worth waiting. Just a heads up that it would be very crowded on weekends.
Tried a Kathiyawadi thali with roti accompanied by a chai -flavorful & well-balanced. The dhal had just the right level of spice, with aromatic cardamom shining through. Both the palak paneer & paneer butter masala were exceptional. Great service too-our server shared thoughtful background on the dishes. Overall, highly recommend!
I had once ordered an unlimited vegetable thali at this place. Since my friends & I had ordered different dishes, we simply shared small bites to taste each other's food - nothing excessive or inappropriate. Midway through our meal, a staff member came up & firmly told us not to share. I found this approach quite rude & unprofessional.
If sharing is not allowed with an unlimited meal, it should be clearly stated upfront - either while ordering or displayed somewhere visible - not suddenly enforced while customers are eating. That said, the food itself was genuinely good & enjoyable.
However, the lack of empathy & poor customer communication left a bad taste. I wouldn't recommend this place for dine-in, but if you're ordering for home & want to enjoy the food without being monitored, it's definitely worth it.
Really love the taste of food. Best atmosphere. Homemade food with all veg options. Recommended dishes Gujarati Undhiyu & puri, vagarelo rotlo
Best restaurant with delicious food & good atmosphere. Recommend dishes- gujarati vagarelo rotlo.
This restaurant truly stands out for its authenticity, offering flavorful dishes that showcase a genuine culinary experience. The portions are generous, ensuring you leave satisfied, & the pricing is refreshingly reasonable, making it an excellent choice for both quality & value. A must-visit for anyone seeking authentic flavors without breaking the bank.
Will definitely be back to try more dishes. I had the pista falooda & surti veg gotalo sandwich to go. The waitress was super nice & chill & the food was ready in 5 min. Only critique is the plastic packaging
Ekdum Mast che !! Foodine Restaurant offers an authentic taste of Gujarati cuisine, showcasing the flavors of traditional Indian vegetarian dishes. The restaurant provides a warm, inviting ambiance with friendly staff & prompt service. The waitress knew her menu very well. She even suggested tons of edits & suggested offers as per elders Swami Narayan menu. The menu features a variety of Gujarati specialties like undhiyu, dhokla, kadhi, & thepla, all prepared with a balance of spices & fresh ingredients. The thali options are a highlight, offering a complete meal experience with a variety of small dishes, perfect for those who want to sample multiple flavors in one sitting. Portions are VERY generous so be mindful.
- I would change the name to Foodilicious - as the food was just too delicious 😋 - If you wanna taste the authentic indian dishes from the west side of India, this is the place you shouldn't miss & MUST VISIT. Must try - Aam Rass, Vagharelo Rotlo, Undhiyu, Veg Thali
Delicious Gujarati cuisine with authentic flavors & warm hospitality at foodine restaurant. The *kathiawadi thali & surati Thali* were a highlight, with a perfect balance of sweet & savory dishes. Don't miss the surati khaman. A must-visit for a true taste of Gujarat!

When in Montreal & you crave Vegetarian Indian food, you should visit Foodine Restaurant at Queen Mary! The Restaurant is a delightful gem for anyone seeking authentic vegetarian Indian cuisine, especially those with a taste for Gujarati, Kathiyawadi, & Indian chaat items. The ambiance is warm & inviting, adorned with traditional Indian decor that sets the perfect mood for a memorable dining experience. The two highlights were: 1) Kadhai Paneer: One of the highlights of Foodine's menu is their Kadhai Paneer. The paneer is exceptionally fresh & tender, cooked to perfection with a robust blend of spices. The dish is a medley of vibrant flavors, with bell peppers & onions adding a delightful crunch. The gravy is rich & flavorful, perfectly balancing the spicy & tangy notes. It's a must-try for anyone who appreciates a well-executed classic. 2) Shahi Paneer: The Shahi Paneer at Foodine lives up to its regal name. This dish is a creamy, luscious concoction that is both indulgent & satisfying. The paneer cubes are soft & soak up the rich, nutty gravy beautifully. The sauce, made with cashews & cream, is delicately spiced, making it a smooth & rich delight without being overpowering. It's an excellent choice for those who enjoy creamy, mildly spiced curries. Beyond these standout dishes, Foodine offers an impressive variety of other vegetarian delights. Their Gujarati & Kathiyawadi offerings are authentic & flavorful, capturing the essence of regional Indian cuisine. The street food section of the menu is equally commendable, featuring popular items like Pani Puri & Dahi Puri, Samosa, etc., which are prepared with great care & taste just like the ones you'd find in bustling Indian markets. The service at Foodine is prompt & courteous, with staff members who are knowledgeable & passionate about the food they serve. Whether you're a seasoned lover of Indian cuisine or trying it for the first time, the staff are eager to help guide your choices to ensure a delightful experience. In conclusion, Foodine Restaurant is a fantastic destination for anyone looking to savor the rich & diverse flavors of vegetarian Indian cuisine. Their Kadhai Paneer & Shahi Paneer are particularly exceptional, making it a place worth visiting multiple times. With its authentic dishes, welcoming ambiance, & excellent service, Foodine is a top pick for vegetarian food lovers.
During our three-night stay in Montreal with my parents & friends, we sought authentic cuisine. At Foodine, we were delighted to discover the genuine flavors of Indian cuisine we had been craving. The staff provided exceptional service, offering personalized attention throughout our dining experience. Additionally, despite certain dishes not being listed on the menu, the staff graciously accommodated our preferences & prepared them specifically for us. Our enjoyment of the food was unparalleled, making it a highly recommended restaurant deserving of a visit.
Amazing experience! Friendly staff, excellent Indian dishes at a reasonable price.
The best & satisfied restaurant in montreal same taste like gujrati mom. All dishes were mind blowing & the methi thepla & mango ras must try.
In my 3 days trip to QC, this is the best food I had while passing by Montreal. If you are looking for Gujarati food, this is the Soul satisfier! We tried Surati & kathiyawadi Thaali - Couldn't try other dishes but I am sure those are great as well. They are short of staff but served lovingly.
