Review Summary

Reviews describe Foodine Restaurant as a welcoming homey spot for authentic Gujarati and Kathiyawadi vegetarian cooking, with a wide range of thalis, rotis, and street food dishes that feel homemade and flavorful. The Gujarati Surati thali and the Kathiyawadi thali, the undhiyu, rotla and roti, began bharta, dal and ras, and the mango ras are cited as comforting and richly seasoned, offering a balance of sweet, spicy and savory notes. The menu appeals to vegetarians with generous options and the overall experience is marked by warm, attentive service and a cozy, family friendly atmosphere. Value and variety come through the unlimited thali offerings, though a few reviews note timing and service issues during busy periods and some confusion about how unlimited is implemented. Street food items like bhel and chaat are praised, as are the fresh rotis and the overall sense of home cooking that makes guests want to return when in Montreal.

Amazing service & very welcoming staff. The food truly felt like home-cooked meals, which is rare to find. They offered great Jain & Swaminarayan options & were very accommodating in customizing dishes to our needs. Overall, I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for pure vegetarian food or authentic Indian, home-style flavors.

My children have grown accustomed to the spices & seasonings in general & now this is their favorite place to order from! Our families favorite. The most authentic Gujarati Thali food we have ever had in Montreal. The cook must be a native of Gujurat.

Absolutely my new obsession & favorite resto. We LOVE thali plates in our home!!! We order often now. Very healthy. Always reliable fresh quality. Never been dissapointed. Please try this place!!! Already almost done by the time I took the photo!!

We are visiting from Toronto & had an amazing experience at Foodine Montréal. We ordered the Gujarati Surati thali & the Kathiyawadi thali, as recommended by the gentleman at the front desk. He gave excellent advice & suggested ordering both so we could try different sabjis as a group, which was a great idea.

The service was fantastic throughout our visit. The bharthu (olo) was absolutely delicious, & the ras puri was top-notch. Everything tasted authentic & full of flavor.

Whenever we visit Montréal again, this thali will definitely be our go-to meal. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful experience at Foodine Restaurant! If you're craving authentic Gujarati thali, this is the place to be. The food felt just like home-flavorful, fresh, & full of love.

The baingan bharta was perfectly spiced, the undhiyu rich & comforting, & the mango ras was simply divine. We also loved the Surati pattice-crispy on the outside & bursting with flavor inside.

There was a wide variety of dishes, & each one had that special homemade touch. The staff was warm & welcoming, making our family outing even more enjoyable.

Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy real Gujarati food in a cozy, family-friendly setting. We'll definitely be back!

I've been to Foodine Restaurant a couple of times while visiting Canada & it never disappoints me. They serve authentic Indian street food, & the flavors are consistently bold, fresh, & delicious.

Every dish I've tried has reminded me of true Indian street-style cooking, & their shakes are flavorful & delicious.

If you're craving Indian street food with great taste & quality, I highly recommend stopping by Foodine Restaurant.

We visited this restaurant today & had such a satisfying experience! We ordered the Masala Chai, Surati Thali, & Kathiyawadi Thali-& both thalis came with unlimited refills, which made it great value for the price (around $22 per thali).

Between the two thalis, we got to enjoy 8-10 different curries, along with poori, roti, & bajra roti-all freshly made & flavorful. Everything tasted homely & authentic, but a few items truly stood out for me:
• Aamras
• Undhiyu
• Kadhai Paneer

If you're craving real Gujarati or Kathiyawadi flavors, this place is absolutely worth a visit!

Had an amazing experience at **Foodine Restaurant**! The Gujarati food was absolutely delicious-especially the **Undhiyu** & **Sev Tameta Shaak**, which were full of authentic flavors & cooked to perfection. A big thanks to **Dhruv** for his excellent customer service-he was friendly, attentive, & made sure we had everything we needed. Truly one of the best dining experiences with great food & even better service!

Good luck from Mississauga

Felt like a trip back to India! I haven't had such authentic-tasting food in Canada before. The food was absolutely delicious-highly recommend trying their thali. It's reasonably priced, with excellent quality & great service to match.

Tried the Surti Thali at Food One, Montréal - & it was absolutely delicious!
Authentic Gujarati flavors, generous portions, & a perfect mix of sweet, spicy, & savory dishes. Tasted just like a home-cooked meal. Highly recommend it - a must-try for anyone craving gujarati comfort food!

Initially the service was very slow & we had to wait for almost half an hour. But once I tasted the thali I felt it was worth waiting. Just a heads up that it would be very crowded on weekends.
