Fresh & authentic falafel, amazing creamy hoummus & Shnitzel pita was very tasty. I was curious about the zaatar fries & didn't find it that great(might be also that the fries were not fresh?) I prefer zaatar on pita which they had & it was good.
Pitas falafel absolument délicieux. Le genre qui te donne un craving plus tard en y repensant.
First time here & really surprised & disappointed. I kept hearing about this place & finally got a chance to try it & felt really let down. I got the falafel pita & the pita was clearly at least a day old & this really ruined the experience. The falafel started falling apart also at some point. Both the pita & the falafel were not warm & I was not impressed. I would love to say I would go back but not with this quality of food, when I know I could get a much better quality version for around the same price at Sumac.
For a $25 meal, I usually expect it to knock it out of the park. Did the pita chicken schnitzel deliver? Unfortunately, not. While the storefront & genuinely friendly service helped redeem the experience, the food itself came off as uninspired & simply
inauthentic.
Absolutely slaps! Got a falafel pita & ate it curbside - c'était superbeeeeeee
Try this. It's amazingly! Enjoy the taste of real middle eastern sandwich. Especially Falafel. Thanks Nick for everything. & for the special Pita bread.
It had been a while since I last visited this spot, my last time was in Mile End, & I remembered loving their pitas. But on this hot summer day, my friend & I were craving something lighter, so we went for a salad… & let me tell you, it did not disappoint.
The portion was huge, definitely one to share. Shout-out to the employee who recommended we split it, because we were about to order one each! The veggies were incredibly fresh, the falafels perfectly crisp, & the sauce? To die for.
The whole team was super friendly & welcoming. Special shout-out to Nathan (aka Nate) who had such a great vibe, filled our water bottles, & gave us amazing service.
I'll absolutely be coming back, for both that salad & the good energy!

The Falafel Yoni kiosk in the outside portion of Marche Atwater is just another smart addition to a collection of good eateries including Satay Bros ,a smoked barbeque unit,le petite Sao,fresh nuts & Smoothies. On a sunny warm day the vibe is great, people eating, diversity, romantic hustle & onlookers from the full time vendors eating & talking on the large number of clean benches & tables. The smell of the barbeque & in contrast the sweet smell of flowers & plants is oddly inviting during the early summer rush for garden adornment.
I knew of Falafel Yoni from reputation & my review of Pizza Toni. Both have the same owner.
Their Falafel pita,I believe,is Israeli style with lots of red cabbage, onion, fresh Falafel balls, chick pea sauce served in a sizable pita pocket. Spiciness is according to taste & client specific at time of order .
Two things stand out of my recent experience. There was a wait line by number & 8 orders were filled within 10 minutes.
I also brought the pita sandwich home to share with my wife. The content is filling & when shared it can be a meal for 2 at $13
The only caveat is that the falafels were not evenly distributed & my wife got fewer balls than me on the divide of the sandwich
Oh well, such is life!! enjoy
Les Falafels sont à la fois moelleux & croustillants! Vraiment délicieux! 🤤 😋😋😋😋😋🫶🙏👍 De plus, les sauces rehaussent le Pita Falafel & apporte une touche de saveur incroyable! 🤩
I would have liked to have my pita warm, It was cold, but overall, it tasted good! The bad thing is that they don't have a bathroom. My previous visits in 2024 were better!
Get ready for summer please !
The falafel pita was amazing!!! There was a beautiful mixture of flavours & freshness in the pita. I also tried the zatar fries which were great. I went to the Yoni Falafel restaurant on Wellington, in Verdun. It is soberly decorated with cramped seating. It is a very small place so I took my food to go. I would definitely go back when in that neighborhood.

Falafel Yoni is becoming a centerpiece of Montreal with their delicious falafel pita sandwiches! The combination of their spices & sauces with salad toppings truly make them stand out from all other falafel places. It is easy to eat & truly a great lunch or supper meal to turn to. Their zatar fries completes the whole meal with their drink (lemon soda). If you haven't tried it, you are missing out! Love the ambiance of the outdoor sitting. Overall amazing! Always get it when I am in the Verdun area :) keep it up!
I have always been a huge falafel yoni fan & have brought people to this unique spot in Montreal! This was my first time visiting the Verdun location, we ordered 3 demi falafel pitas & took our bites. The bread was extremely cold, like it had just been taken out of the freezer & barely defrosted. The filling of the falafel & sauces were really good, the product that I recommend to people when they visit Montreal. This taste was overshadowed by the cold bread which remained cold with the hot filling inside.
