Amazing food & very great service. Me & my family were in the area for 3 days & we liked the food & service so much that we ate all of our meals here.
I went there for the first time yesterday & had, what I honestly think is the best Butter Chicken that I have ever had. You all need to come to this family run restaurant. I took another order home with me. Fantastic.
Fortunately, I get to order for a takeout during my work lunch hours. I ordered Dal makhani, Shahi paneer, & Aloo paratha. I'm so happy that all are very delicious. I will definitely visit again with my colleagues n my family. Prices & portions are good.

I went to Express Indian on Somerled twice so far since moving to Montreal (one using public transport, once on foot). The food was good (the one time we actually got to eat the food we paid for). Here is my big issue: twice i went to this restaurant fully prepared with my own containers. You know, pollution & the current climate crisis in mind. the first time, i had plastic containers. the food came from the kitchen in my containers, FULLY WRAPPED IN TINFOIL. The next time, learning from the first encounter, i brought large-sized mason jars. They brought my jars back empty & sat them on the counter. Finally, after quite a long wait, they brought out two of their own, one-time-use ALUMINIUM take-out containers. The person then informed me (at that time, & not before bringing out this WASTE) that the openings of the jars were too narrow to be able to get the food inside. It is so disheartening as it is to be footprint-minded in a seemingly disposable world. But this kind of situation can be utterly crushing to someone trying hard to live without creating more waste. It's almost as if they are trying to make some sort of political statement by straight up refusing to use the containers i bring in with me (even though this would save them a bit of money - just use the containers for the next person)!
In the end, the food from their aluminium containers went EVERYWHERE in their plastic bags & in my backpack (unlike had it been in sealed mason jars) & my family & I did not even get to enjoy the food.
