We went to Eva's today & overall the food & service from our waiter were great. Unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed by an extremely negative interaction with the host.
When I made the reservation, I clearly wrote in the comments that we would be coming with a baby & would need a high chair. Whether or not it was my mistake to have chosen the bar section, I was honestly shocked by how rude & unprofessional the host was when we arrived. The way he spoke to us was dismissive & unpleasant, & it immediately set a negative tone for the visit. I'm not sure where he learned his customer service skills, but the interaction was completely unacceptable.
To make matters worse, as he walked by our table he either intentionally or carelessly kicked the baby's high chair & didn't even acknowledge it or apologize.
I want to emphasize that our waiter was excellent & the food was great-I truly have nothing negative to say about that part of the experience. However, the host's behavior really stood out in the worst way & unfortunately affected the overall experience.
I would strongly encourage management at Eva's to address this with their hosting staff. The front-of-house role sets the tone for guests, & this interaction fell far below what should be expected.
I'm from New York, & the vibes at EVA's Montreal are truly 10/10. The food & vibe here exceptional! Great vibes,great music. TO DIEEEE FOR! Please don't go here & not order the pancake bites! from the cocktails to the entrées is flawless. I honestly wish we had an EVA's in NYC, especially with a bartender like Danielle :-) Such a great experience all around. I had an amazing time! Please consider opening in NYC😊-bring Danielle hahah

Loved our experience at Eva's! The pancake bites were so amazing we ordered them twice. Our server Sami, made the experience even better. He was genuinely kind, attentive, & super helpful in guiding us through the menu while keeping our preferences & requirements in mind.
Overall, amazing food & even better service. Highly recommended - we can't wait to come back! 🍽?

I went to eva's with my friends to celebrate my friend's pregnancy & let me tell you that the food was excellent , really friendly staff & the vive is really cool , the owner & the servers were really nice with us , & let me tell you that the restaurant is very chic & classy to take pictures & enjoy a good moment , i loved my experience & definitely going back for more , this restaurant is going to be my go to every occasion
Eva's has a beautiful, modern architecture that makes the atmosphere feel fresh & inviting. The staff all seem genuinely happy to be there, & our server, Ivan, was extremely attentive & friendly. I had the best scrambled egg sandwich of my life - perfect texture & amazing flavor in every bite. The French toast was tasty but nothing particularly memorable, though I appreciated how light it was. Price-wise, really worth it!

I really love Eva's, the food is always delicious, & the atmosphere is one of my favorites in Montreal. I don't live in the city, but every time I visit, Eva's is a must-stop for me. I've been many times & always enjoy it.
That said, the past two times I visited with a group (3 other guests), the wait times were quite long. Even with a reservation at 11:15 AM, we didn't receive our food until 12:45. The staff was very kind & apologetic & offered us complimentary drinks, which we appreciated.
A similar delay happened last year as well.
While I'll definitely keep coming back because I genuinely enjoy the food, I do hope the wait times for larger groups improve in the future
We'd only been to Eva's once before & were completely sold just with how good the food was. We returned on Sunday for my friend's birthday & the experience was spectacular. Our reservation slot was respected, we were welcomed in such a friendly way. Our waiter Ralph offered amazing service from start to finish, always checking in on us, made us laugh & smile, & when I had the smallest issue with my drink, he accommodated me & fixed the issue super quickly. The staff in general was also super sweet & serviable, the bartender that worked that shift was really fun & showed real skills with his concoctions. Needless to say, the food was a-ma-zing. I had the pancake bites, they were so warm & delicious. The only thing is that the music is a bit overly loud. They played a great selection & it added great vibes, but it had everyone shouting to hear each other, which isn't always enjoyable. All in all, top tier service, delicious food, we're definitely making this place our go-to.

Walking into Eva's feels like stepping into a Pinterest board - bright, cozy, & effortlessly stylish. Everything was a treat but the star of the show is Hightower. the vibe? full of good energy. A must-visit gem in St-Henri!
First time at Eva's & wow - everything was amazing! The food was flavorful & beautifully presented, the vibe was cozy, & the staff were super friendly. You can tell everything is made with love. Highly recommend - I'll definitely be back soon!

I reserved a table & came solo for my 26th birthday to Eva's.
I got the Hightower & couldn't even finish it but it was SO Delicious!!!
I was greeted immediately & sat.
For my birthday I was offered a Mojito
The staff noticed I was solo & it was my birthday, the sweetest soul, Sia, kindly bought me a shot & mini pancakes!! She also recommended several places to go visit or see locally while on my trip.
I am so grateful I came here for my birthday brunch. The environment was so welcoming & friendly. Thank you to the entire staff, especially Sia for starting my birthday off amazing!! You are so appreciated & your kindness warmed my heart 🩷
We went to Eva's because we were attracted to the aesthetics of the pictures they shared online. The place looks really good. The staff provide good service. The food & drinks were lackluster for the prices. The iced coffee came in a long glass that contained so little liquid that it could be finished with 2 good gulps. It costs more than 10$ though. I ordered a breakfast sandwich priced like an entire meal. When I asked what came with the sandwich, the server told me nothing. You would think maybe the food is very good & that excuses the price. But no, it wasn't bad, but not a full meal price good. They serve sandwiches that could've been served by food trucks, not to say they were bad, but not worth the price.
Very disappointed by my experience at Eva's. The food was alright, but quite overpriced for what you get. Customer service wasn't great, waiters didn't seem like they wanted to be there, were slow & playing with their phones - which I thought was rude. I wouldn't return. Didn't like the vibe, was too loud. Also disappointing that the only spot they had was on the counter when I reserved in advance.
Me & my friends went to eva's today for a late brunch. everything about this place was amazing. the service the ambiance & they were super helpful & friendly. it was our first time there & will definitely be regulars 100% recommend it to everyone.

Eva's is a wonderful spot for brunch! ⭐ I had a real crush on their avocado toast - it was absolutely delicious. 🥑 The flavors were fresh, well-balanced, & perfectly prepared. The service was great & the staff was very kind & welcoming. ✅ Overall, a cozy & friendly place where you feel right at home. I would recommend it.
Eva's est une excellente adresse pour le brunch ! ⭐ Gros coup de coeur pour leur avocado toast : vraiment délicieux. 🥑 Les saveurs étaient fraîches, bien équilibrées & parfaitement préparées. Le service était très bon & le personnel vraiment gentil & accueillant. ✅ Une ambiance chaleureuse où l'on se sent bien. Je recommande cet endroit.
EVA's best feature is no doubt the design of the space. It is unique with it's rounded columns, modern-industrial grey tones & intricate art pieces that adorn the restaurant. The service here was friendly & cheerful. My server didn't really interact with me after I was served, but I was sitting by the bar & the girl who was working there happily engaged me in conversation, which is always appreciated when I'm dining solo.
I went for the skytower plate, which I have mixed feelings on. The feature of the dish, the mini pancakes, were superb. I was unsure about the savory butter they were using as pancakes are sweet, however it worked very well. The texture of the pancakes was immaculate. 1-2 more could have been added to really justify the dish's name however. The other parts of the plate were pretty standard. The one part that did disappoint me is that I like my eggs poached & they told me they don't do poached eggs. This is the first time I've heard this at a brunch restaurant, & for how well this place presents itself I was surprised at the limitation. I have to say that the quality of the dish did not justify the price at all. They need to have at least one more item on this plate. I did not have a beverage, just this place & my bill was around $35. The portion-to-price ratio here is a weak point- brunch is meant to be filling, especially a plate like this.
Eva's in St. Henry is a must-visit! The food is incredible, & the service is top-notch-friendly & attentive. From the moment you walk in, you feel welcome. Whether it's brunch or cocktails, they deliver every time. Highly recommend!
