I had high expectations given the reputation, but was let down quite a bit. The food was good but nothing marvelous & soooo painfully overpriced! At 36$ for grilled veggies we expected a whole bunch, not that tiny plate with 200g of produce & that's just one example. The service was just bad, I'm sorry, there's no other way to put it. Had to ask 4 times for more bread to finish the mezzé platter. Wine & water glasses sitting empty on the table. No one came to ask if everything was to our liking, & it just felt cold. We expected somewhat of a "luxury" experience, given the cost for it all, & it was absolutely not the case & I don't get the hype about this place.
Can't say enough about this place. The food & service are impeccable. Our server knew the menu so well, we didn't need it to order dinner. I told him what I liked & what I was in the mood for & he made the most exquisite suggestions. So full from dinner- there was no room for dessert. Next time, I promise.
To celebrate my hubby's birthday, we made reservations at Milos. The only time slot available was 8:45. We reluctantly took it as they assured us there would not be a wait. We requested to be served by Dritan, our favourite waiter, & they agreed to have us seated in his section. We arrived at 8:30 (15 min early). After standing at the bar for one hour, & observing the inexperienced high-school aged girls fumble with the reservations & the seating arrangements at the entrance, we were told we would finally be seated at 9:30! At the end of that hour long wait we were rewarded with the smallest most uncomfortable table imaginable (my hubby is a big guy). The nearest table was practically attached to our own & it felt like the girl sitting next to us was with our own party. I had to constantly remove her long wavy hair from our table & our plates, which was an inevitable constant mishap considering how close we were. Forget about having a private conversation, that was impossible. The waiter we requested was nowhere in sight. The service was clumsy yet not terrible, certainly not the exceptional standard we had been accustomed to with Dritan. The only saving grace was the food, which was usual Milos quality. But here is the thing, 500 dollars later, we left feeling frustrated, cheated & bloated. Having eaten so late, the indigestion was painful. All I could think of was what happened to the days when Milos patrons were treated to the finest dining experience & above all their time was respected & their requests honoured. Sadly, we will not be returning. Milos has turned into a cheap cliche. This once highly sophisticated establishment is nothing more than a distant memory of its former self. There are other restaurants in Montreal that have surpassed Milos in quality & promise the customer the most exquisite culinary experience. & they know how to deliver because they have highly trained professional staff to ensure customer satisfaction; something Milos quite strikingly lacks.
Everything was outstanding service, food is deliciously authentic, wonderful décor & atmosphere, food was exceptional, ingredients are of high quality, all served in an aesthetic way. 10/10 would recommend.

George, the head waiter was amazing. His knowledge of the wine list & details of each food we ordered was exceptional. He was very friendly & professional. He made our experience truly unforgettable.
Le meilleur restaurant en ville. Le service est incroyable & le décor est sublime. Pour ce qui est de la nourriture elle est fraîche & simple vous ne tomberez pas par terre en découvrant des nouvelles saveurs, mais les goûts sont classiques & le service est hors norme.
Très belles assiettes avec des ingredients de qualité & bien travaillés. Une serveuse très professionnelle & agréable nous a servi la première partie de la soirée, Malheureusement toute la suite a été désastreuse avec des busboys qui ont essayé de nous arracher littéralement nos assiettes pendant qu'on mangeait, fourchettes à la main & assiettes remplies. À partir de la quatrième fois je me suis fâchée & j'ai demandé "est ce qu'on peut manger?", ce à quoi un d'eux m'a répondu sèchement "I don't speak french." Bref, pour le standing revendiqué & le prix demandé c'est vraiment dommage de recevoir ce niveau service..
Milos a Montreal offre un'esperienza culinaria greca straordinaria. Famoso per il pesce fresco e i frutti di mare, il menu è autentico e delizioso. L'ambiente elegante e il servizio impeccabile rendono ogni visita speciale. L'attenzione ai dettagli e la qualità degli ingredienti fanno di Milos un must per chi ama la cucina greca. Imperdibile per una cena raffinata.
It felt like a rite of passage to visit the original Milos after having been to so many of the others! This one was charming & the food is up to the usual high standard. I would definitely come back if I'm in town again.
