Un de mes cafés préférés à Montréal. Leurs cafés figurent clairement dans mon top 3, & le personnel est toujours incroyablement gentil :).
Ça peut sembler tout simple, mais lors de ma dernière visite, j'étais avec mon petit en porte-bébé & je peinais un peu avec mes cafés. La barista est immédiatement venue m'aider à « gérer » tout ça. C'est la première fois qu'on m'offre un soutien aussi attentionné, & c'était tellement apprécié ! J'adore aussi le mur comprenant des livres qu'on peut acheter : une excellente idée.

I did not know this was a serious coffee shop for real coffee drinkers. It was cold, I wanted something warm, & this cafe was across the street. I have learned words I did not know existed
But, I am pleasantly surprised!
Very cool place. I'm a little too socially anxious for a wrap around bar in a cafe, but I have never seen the concept before, & I thought it was pretty interesting
Chai latte was nice & spicy how I like it, without being overpowering. I got mine with some simple syrup (I'm a fake coffee drinker sorry y'all) & it was tasty. One of the best I've had if I'm being honest (they're pretty much all I order… I've had many). So I decided to try their matcha & it was actually good??! I say this with shock bc I usually find that matcha tastes like grass… this one was yummy though. I'm beginning to understand the matcha hype.
Staff are kind people too. It seems like they actually like their job, which says something about management. Customer service is stressful! They clearly knew a lot about coffee. I heard them using several very important serious sounding words. The coffee people nodded sagely. Be sure to arrive early if you want a pastry!

Ordered 2 ice matcha lattes for almost 15$. We could barely taste the matcha, the drinks were bland & tasteless (which we were expecting when we saw how pale the lattes where, not vibrant green). Disappointing & overpriced.

Amazing coffee. We'll curated, definitely underrated. The shop owners & workers here are sincerely nice & they all compete in coffee in some way. I visited here twice on my visit to Montreal but wish I had come earlier to be able to visit every day.
I had some of the best coffee of my life here as a pour over & as a oat latte. It was full of fruit (strawberry) flavor that I rarely find in coffee shops (& I've had specialty coffee beans from all around the world). Of course the flavor depends on what they sourced at the time I visited, but no doubt they know how to brew a fine cup of coffee. Worth a visit or more.

Super nice café. It has a huge bar with seats & also a sofa area - very cool. The latte was flavourful & strong.

Cute place. But chai latte & coffee were very tasteless. Very watery. & not hot enough. Very disappointing tbh. & when I ask very nicely if he can make my chai latte a bit stronger (because it was literally tasting like nothing…. just warm milk) he added a little splash on chai in my cup by telling me that normally this is the measurement used & no more…etc etc. Was said in a way that i should have been veryyyyy grateful he added a table spoon more…

Have been visiting Eclair for years whenever in Montreal. They have an exceptional approach to coffee, sourcing some of the best beans in the world & preparing beverages with uncompromising attention to detail. All of the staff I've interacted with are knowledgeable & passionate about their work. The cafe itself is beautiful, clad in green & white, & stocking an eclectic mix of books which decorate the walls. Highly recommended, one of my favourite cafés.

This is the spot for quiet chats, slow delicious coffee, & intimate experiences with the baristas. It's the spot I repeatedly recommend to friends & family. Came here after a funeral on my first visit: Jair, the head barista, thoughtfully & patiently prepared me & my partner several coffees. The comfort & ease of his work & presence was so welcoming at that time. I've been coming back since for the past 3 years & have always had gentle, attentioned service from all staff members. If you are looking for a quick in'n'out drink, this is not quite the place for that nor is it the philosophy of the café, but if you are looking for a pause, an escape, & an intimate conversation around coffee, it's worth the wait 100% Remember that those serving us coffee are doing the best that they can do & when we as clients allow the patience for good service & drink, we find ourselves returning again & again until the café becomes our second home.

Love the vibe of this place, & the barista has great taste in music. Good espressos here too.
LOVE the layout & decor - the place is small but unique.
Only drawback is lack of decaf. (Yeah I am one of those people that asks for decaf 🥴) But barista offered helpful alternatives & suggestions on which coffees has less caffeine as well as herbal teas.
Also the vibe of this place was amazing —barista was a good mix of attentive & laidback to let people have their own space.
Have to just say again, the decor is amazing. From the window / couch in front, to the counter, to the little nook in the back w a screen — My bet is it the owner has background in interior design, or got a smoking cool company to do this space.

Really good coffee. Had an oat latte & came back later the same day for an americano. So good I bought the beans. & I’ve been to a lot of coffee shops!
