Overrated a bit. Limited coffee beans selection as compared to others. Technique to be evaluated again due to poor extraction. No background music & no decor. Not so comfortable seats. Poor service- Barista was not in a mood to talk about his own coffee I guess.
No dogs automatically low stars for me. More importantly for other people- not well organized tables & uncomfortable rude vibes from staff. Surprised given high rating
Edit after reply - I have checked the law even before coming here & for coffee shops / primarily drinks places, allowing small pets is at owner's discretion in the province; I've spent many afternoons in coffee shops around. & yes the interaction felt very jarring regardless.
Coffee was excellent. The female barista was very nice. Really good ambiance. Heard excellent reviews of this place & it did not disappoint. Highly recommended in the menu are flat white, cortado & matcha latte.
Great single origin espresso. Nice aesthetic. Usually quite busy with people working on laptop so expect to take it to go. The coffee shop culture appears to be politically Marxist/socialist.
Exceptional coffee really well made. If you are a coffee nerd, you will love Café Éclair. I wouldn't recommend if you are in a rush & want a take out coffee. They do offer take out but they take the time to properly make it. They also have a few cookies, croissants & juices. It's small, cozy & definitely trendy.
A standout spot for coffee enthusiasts, Café Eclair offers an excellent pour-over menu with an impressive selection of beans. The atmosphere is warm & inviting, & the staff are friendly & knowledgeable.

Best pourover coffee experience I have ever seen. The baristas are very knowledgeable on all the current offerings for beans & are happy to help find a coffee that you will like. I have never seen a place that has you smell the beans & tastes the coffee as qc before serving it to you. This is a full experience - be prepared to wait if it is busy. Actually not overpriced for the experience you are getting, especially compared to a coffee in the states.
Five clients to take care of, the guy takes my order & says to go sit down (he'll bring the coffee over he says). Waited 20 minutes, looked up from my book, he's sitting at the bar chatting with some girl, I make eye contact with him three times, I don't exist. Is this a self serve café? I don't get it.
Beautiful café with a great atmosphere. I really liked the central bar & how it encourages people to share the space & enjoy a coffee together. Service was very good, & the coffee itself was solid. A pleasant spot to stop & take in the vibe.
