Reviews consistently praise Dunya for authentic Lebanese shawarma and falafel, with beef and chicken shawarma that are juicy and well seasoned and falafel that is crispy on the outside and flavorful inside. Sauces and accompaniments such as toum, tarator, garlic sauce, and minty fattoush are highlighted as bright, well balanced and essential to the experience. Many readers note generous portions, tasty fries, and house made ice cream or ashta that add to the value. The place is described as small, cozy, clean, and welcoming, with service that is friendly, efficient and attentive, a vibe that makes it feel like a casual, satisfying meal. Some reviews mention limited menu options and seating, and note that during busy times the place can be crowded but staff remains courteous; a few also point out occasional saltiness or that chicken can be a bit greasier and suggest more meat per wrap. Overall, it is seen as a standout spot for shawarma and falafel in Montreal, with broad praise for authenticity, flavor, and price and strong repeat visits and loyalty.
Absolutely delishhhhh! Shawarma poulet was juicy, filling & perfect 🤯 it took maybe 10min to get our order. We noticed it's cheaper to order to eat out instead of having it there, like $3 difference. Anyway, you must try this place 💗💗💗
shawarma boeuf juste incroyable🤍

vraiment une bonne adresse de shawarma à Montréal
Best shawarma restaurant in Montreal. Every bite of the chicken shawarma is an explosion of flavor, the staff is very welcoming & professional, & the atmosphere & music are great as well. Must try restaurant in Montreal.
Recommended by a Lebanese friend, my expectations were high. Not disappointed a bit, the food is great, homemade tea incredible, got some baba ghannouj almost like my home recipie
I never am the type to leave a review, but I felt so compelled to leave one after how much this place shocked me. I'm Lebanese & in Canada I never eat shawarma because it just never tastes the same as back home, it's been so long since I've had a shawarma that tasted like it was from Lebanon. The flavour, the quality of the meat, & the simplicity of Dunya's shawarma is like it's straight from Lebanon. So good!!!

It's a decent place, but every time I order from there there's an item missing. Sometimes sides, sometimes whole wraps! It's extra annoying because uber is never any help, & if I've ordered for a group of people, someone just doesn't get their meal? & then it's awkward. I wish they verified their delivery orders more because it's clearly a systemic problem, & is very frustrating to receive.
I had been curious about this place for a while, & now I completely understand all the great reviews.
We visited with our family & were still able to get seated, which was a nice surprise. It's a small, charming shawarma & falafel spot! simple, authentic, & full of flavor. The food brought back real memories of the original tastes we enjoyed in the Middle East.
You can truly taste the quality of the ingredients. Everything is fresh, generous, & incredibly affordable. Honestly, I can't remember the last time we paid so little for such a satisfying meal for a family of four.
The owner was exceptionally kind, making sure we enjoyed everything & even offering us complimentary ice cream, which was absolutely delicious. Everyone were super friendly too they serve you with a smile.
This place checks all the boxes of what you hope for in a restaurant. It was definitely worth the long drive, & we'll absolutely be coming back & recommending it to everyone.
