For $5-7 dollars, hard to find anything like this nowadays. Good portion, gnocchi is alright but flavor wise, it's terrible. The sauce is super acidic & barely tastes like tomato sauce.
Was a worth trying once but not again.
You can barely leave the house without spending $5, so let's be honest, this is a good deal for a good amount of gnocchi.
The gnocchi themselves are good, but my issue with the tomato sauce. It does not taste right, there is just something off about it.
I would still recommend to stop by & try it - it is a quintessential Montreal experience.
Gnocchi's are what they do. With or without cheese, spicy or regular tomato sauce.
The concept is simple & it works. Found the gnocchi a bit tough but still tasty & the sauce good. So for 5-6$ roughly its an amazing deal & comforting. But good luck finding a parking & a place to sit outside to eat.
The gnocchi was soft but the sauce tasted like chef boyardee. Maybe it was too much oregano or burnt onions but I found the sauce oily. It's not for me, but the kids liked it on a cold day.
It's a street walk by counter the sauce is homemade as a Italian that makes his own sauce with the family... It is delicious the owner I'm guessing took the time to explain everything I've asked super Patience & friendly service. Fyi they only take debit or cash. Thank you for bringing a little of Italy & homemade to Montreal!
One of the best pasta in Montreal. Such soft gnocci, & tangy sauce. & such kind workers. All of this for ONLY 5 DOLLARS.Everyone in the reviews saying this & that, should remember it's only five dollars, & it's still amazing.
Flavorful & satisfying gnocchi & THAT sauce is everything. I love these guys!
La sauce est juste wow !! Sa parrait que c'est une recette della nona !! Sa goûte l'Italie miammm
What could be better than a box of pillowy soft gnocchi smothered in homemade tomato sauce? 🍅 Settle yourself onto a bench nearby & watch the neighbourhood go about its business while you eat. Delicious!
Cute hole in the wall place! Came here for the $5 Gnocci. Add 1.50 & you get chili flakes & Parmesan cheese.
It's the best thing I've eaten since my Grade 4 teacher's rigatoni sauce. I remember eating it as a kid, & even after all these years I still crave it & I'm glad I found this on my trip to Montreal cause it was nostalgic lol
They take cash or Canadian debit only.
The sauce doesn't work for me. Keep it simple, throw on some fresh pomodoro & basil & call it a day
Pillowy soft, Nonna-approved, & famously $5. 🍝✨
If you've walked through the Mile End, you've definitely smelled the garlic & tomatoes wafting from the iconic window of Drogheria Fine. There is something so satisfying about holding that warm white carton (usually reserved for Chinese takeout!) filled with the most comforting gnocchi in Montreal.
Did you know? The gnocchi wasn't actually the original plan! Drogheria Fine opened as a simple grocer to sell their family's authentic Calabrian tomato sauce. The gnocchi window was only started as a'tasting station' to help promote the sauce. It became such a massive hit that it turned into the legendary Montreal staple we know & love today. 🍅❤?
Whether you like yours with a little extra kick of chili or a mountain of parmesan, it's a must-stop every single time.

Ce n'est évidemment pas les meilleurs gnocchis que vous allez manger, mais pour 5$, avoir un bonne portion réconfortante de gnocchis dans une bonne sauce, c'est impossible à battre.
Like everyone has been saying, you just can't beat the price. The box is small but mighty as it surprisingly is able to contain plenty of gnocchi. There is no indoor seating but there are public benches outside. The sauce is not my favourite but it's still an overall good snack . When I come back I'll try to bring some cheese or cured meats to eat on the side!
Absolutely loved Drogheria Fine! The place has a simple, authentic charm & serves some of the best gnocchi in Montreal. The tomato sauce is rich, comforting, & full of flavor, & the portions are generous for the price. Service is quick & friendly, making it a perfect spot for a casual yet satisfying meal. A must-visit if you're in Montreal: simple food done exceptionally well!
The sauce is quite salty but its hot while sitting outside in winter time.
i really don't get the hype. the sauce is quite bad - it tastes very similar to a can of Campbell's SpaghettiOs. the place is visually charming, though.
Honestly? The gnocchi is good, it's the sauce that's pretty bland. It's too sour! There's a bit of an indecipherable aftertaste too. It tastes like cheap store bought pasta sauce unfortunately. Improved by the spice, but not by much.
I keep coming back because it's hard to beat a hearty $5 meal! It warms you right up on a cold autumn day. But it's by no means stellar.
Service is always amazing though, really nice people. & there's seating nearby which is great bc it's no food indoors
Would love to see a vegan cheese option! Also would be nice if the toppings could be sandwiched into the gnocchi, so the whole thing is spiced/cheesy & not just the top
