Thank you for the meal! If you're looking for some gnocchi in Montreal while walking around the mile end, this is the spot. The shop front looks nice, the staff is nice & the food tastes good.
I don't understand how anyone wouldn't give 5 stars. The taste, the price , the service. All.perfect.
Straighforward gnocchi place. A classic take-out spot in Mile-End that locals & tourists love. The prices are fairly good ($6 per box) & the sauce & pasta are rich & filling. During the early afternoon, there may be lineups of around 10-15 minutes. Note that there is also no seating, & I don't recommend buying the pasta+sauce in the jar because it doesn't cook nearly as well at home. Despite this, it's my favourite comfort food spot.
they're so affordable (5$ for a regular box, tax included) & make for a delicious snack when you're visiting mile-end!! i get some every time i'm in the area, they're served hot & in arguably big portions for the price. definitely not to miss if you're around!
Yummy food at a reasonable price. The portion in that small-looking takeout makes you full for a while. The sauce & parmesan cheese are reminiscent of my grandma & my mother back in the day. There is no place to dine in & also if you have only a credit card you are going to be in trouble. It all depends on you how much love this food or the nostalgia around it.
Edit: 2 years later & still the same great taste at the same great price $5 for a box of gnocchi you're unlikely to forget Simple & delicious gnocchi, tomato sauce. Just one thing & that one thing done right
Nice business Idea with an Excellent quality/price gnocchi, only take out with no seats available but you can eat your gnocchi in any benches & enjoy the weather on a sunny day. Gnocchi are tasty & authentic enough to be called an Italian dish, very hard working & nice people at the business. Great location, after gnocchi you can enjoy a nice espresso at Cafe Olympia located just a few minutes walk from Drogheria Fine.
After reading all of the reviews about the gnocchi I just had to try it. I was disappointed that the sauce had a Chef Boyardee tang to it. The price was low, but not worth the trip to get here.
For the price it's a great deal & food & service is very good. Line can be quite long on the weekends.
The only good thing about it was the cheap price - $5. We had the spicy one, & it was honestly pretty bad, putting just chilly flakes, is not enough to make a tasty spicy sauce.
I wanted to love it so much!!!...but the sauce smelled better then it tasted...I mean it's ok but definitely overrated. Food is cheap & it's at a good price but the sauce is too liquid for me. I prefer my sauce thicker. & also, the cheese is super disappointing...I was expecting fresh mozzarella or fresh cheese on top but it was very ordinary parmesan. & not the best kind either... Glad I've tried it but not going back...
The best gnocchi I've had in a long time! Visited on a food tour, & it was delicious & reasonably priced!
Waited in line for almost an hour. But it was worth it because that first bite made me squirt a lil! Great price too! Gnocchi was pillowy & the sauce was flavourful.
Portion is huge & very tasty for the price. The cost cutting measures are very clear though. 5 cents for utensils other than chopsticks, gnocchi is just round balls, etc. No complaints though & the service is good. Would highly recommend spending the extra money on chili flakes.
Wonderful taste, service, & the price is super cheap for the quality. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Mile-End to stop by there & try it.
