Review Summary

Drogheria Fine is a beloved Montreal destination known for serving simple, affordable, and comforting gnocchi directly from a takeout window. While the menu is limited to gnocchi with tomato sauce, with options to add cheese or chili flakes, the concept is widely celebrated for its efficiency and value. Many patrons appreciate the pillowy texture of the pasta and the rich, homemade quality of the sauce, often describing it as a perfect snack for a cold day. Although opinions on the flavor profile vary, with some noting a preference for a more traditional marinara, most visitors agree that the experience is a quintessential part of the Mile End neighborhood. Be prepared for potential lineups, as the spot is popular, and ensure you have cash or a Canadian debit card on hand since they do not accept credit cards.

Came here at opening & they were late to open. I got the gnocchi with cheese & the sauce is bland & salty. Disappointed that the cheese is only on the top & tasted like Kraft Parm. However the portion is quite big & good value.

'cheese' is a kraft parmesan cheese to go on top of theses gummy balls called' gnocchis' in what they say is a tomatoe sauce nonna's style ! I had to throw them away after 2 bites & God knows how I love food & Italian food especially. But aside a cute little corner shop that seems so appealing for real Italian snacks. What they sold is simply in disgusting. A perfect tourist trap.

Very flavorful & cheap ! I got the gnocchi with cheese & spicy for $6.50.
Well worth the hype.

Pillowy soft gnocchi. But I found the sauce a bit bland & generic, & even though I ordered with extra cheese & extra spice, the flavours were completely washed out by the sauce.

I think it's more tourist appeal & local nostalgia more than anything.

Great gnocchi, but sauce was giving Chef Boyardee. The added cheese helped though & for the price it's worth it

A small hole in the wall, grab & go Italian restaurant that only sells gnocchi with tomato sauce (the only variation to it is if you want cheese or cheese & chilli pepper with it).
no indoor seatings!! There are outside seatings. Depending when you go there's a line up.

Gnocchi w/ just the sauce coat $5, gnocchi w/sauce & cheese $6 & gnocchi w/ sauce, cheese & chilli spice $6.5.

I passed the restaurant to get bagels next door & saw a walking tour bringing a group of people here. The day I went was gloomy & a bit chilli. So i got the gnocchi with sauce/cheese/ chilli pepper. Not spicy, just gives the pasta a bit of extra taste.

We arrived early on a Sunday morning, so there was no wait & it was easy to grab a spot on one of the benches right outside. We ordered the gnocchi with cheese, & it was absolutely amazing-perfect as a snack to share between the two of us. The service was quick, friendly, & attentive. Just a heads-up: an extra fork costs $0.25. 😀 Highly recommended!

What a gem. Ran into this place with a bunch of folks outside on our way to finding Fairmount bagel (which also has awesome bagels).

We were wondering what everyone was eating, & saw that this spot was serving 1 item - to go gnocchi. 6 bucks. Can get it with cheese & red pepper for some spice.

Honestly shockingly good. Got some of the best sorbet/gelato next door to it too. What an experience!

Oh, one downside - cash only establishment.

The entire menu is gnocchi. Ask for cheese & spice. That's all of your choices. You deserve nothing more.

Gnocchi's are what they do. With or without cheese, spicy or regular tomato sauce.
The concept is simple & it works. Found the gnocchi a bit tough but still tasty & the sauce good. So for 5-6$ roughly its an amazing deal & comforting. But good luck finding a parking & a place to sit outside to eat.
