Great cheap eatery in the Mile End region of Montreal. Authentic tasting Italian food for only 5-6$, yes please. In a city ravaged by inflation, Drogheria fine shines as the holy grail of cheap food. My only complait is that they charge 30 cents for forks.
Service was good, the story about the place was the reason we went there. Food was ok, not the best sauce, not the best gnocchi. It's a good option if you want cheap convenient to-go food

The best gnocchi in Montreal. Cheap, but great for the value. The gnocchi & the sause are home made & they are delicious!!!! Not spice, it won't burn in your stomach...is a perfect meal for the day if you like Italian food.
Best value for money! Great portion! Really love the sauce :) & it's super cheap given the amount of food. No seats but nice to have it at the benches & just do ppl watching.
Been here a couple times & it's so delicious. I feel it is the perfect amount of food, not making you too full or leaving you hungry. I went around 3pm on a Sunday & it was BUSY, we waited in line for about 20 minutes. It was totally worth it though, the gnocchi was hot, delicious, & the staff were lovely. If you want a cheap meal or you're up to try something new, the gnocchi is delicious!
Best, fastest & cheapest gnocchi I've ever had, I hasn't even taken my card out to order & I had the gnocchi in my hand already, portions is rly good & it's so tasty
The only good thing about it was the cheap price - $5. We had the spicy one, & it was honestly pretty bad, putting just chilly flakes, is not enough to make a tasty spicy sauce.

I wanted to love it so much!!!...but the sauce smelled better then it tasted...I mean it's ok but definitely overrated. Food is cheap & it's at a good price but the sauce is too liquid for me. I prefer my sauce thicker. & also, the cheese is super disappointing...I was expecting fresh mozzarella or fresh cheese on top but it was very ordinary parmesan. & not the best kind either... Glad I've tried it but not going back...
Cheap fast & super delicious. What more can you ask for. Usually a line so be patient. You can skip to the front of the line if you are buying a jar of sauce & not getting any gnocchi. Can ask for extra cheese or spicy.
Just potato dough balls in a very basic tomato sauce... stumbled onto this place thinking the line of people was for bagels... gave it a try & no big deal other than it is cheap... ate a few bites... then went to Wilenky for a real meal & dessert at theItalian place... plus I can eat out of the rain...

Iconic spot for cheap eats. You're near guaranteed to end the day with a heartburn session post-gnocchi, but for $5 it's impossible to beat. Be aware of long lines at peak hours, otherwise the service is great.
Absolute institution. Service was extremely rapid & the food is delicious, not to mention how cheap the portions are! Gotta pay extra for a fork though! Comes with chopsticks:)
