What's going on Yolks???!! I am.giving a one star for food because the pancakes failed to give that exceptional detail. From the opening to now.. the pancakes are not what it's supposed to be. They were fluffy back then! it tasted incredible before. Today I felt I was eating rubber. No one in the kitchen does a taste test before sending it out? Come on. This is the whole reason I come here because of the pancakes. It's what made it attractive. The rest of the food, Benny salmon was amazing & burger was also good.
Just need to get those pancakes back to what it was. No other breakfast restaurant can pull that off. I'll be back to see anything has changed.

The food may as well had been motel breakfast. My eggs came out wrong, the toast was toasted on one side, the proteins came out a bit too soft.
The staff were very nice.
The kitchens seemed too overwhelmed for a soft open.
I can see how this restaurant is owned by the former owners of Jukebox's Burgers that had similar problems. Definitely would not recommend.

I ordered the eggs Benedict with ham & got the lemon baked potatoes. The Dijon hollandaise sauce was not great. The Dijon was overpowering it completely & I do enjoy Dijon. The poached egg was great though & the ham was good. However the lemon potatoes was so lemony I got nothing from them but that sour flavour. Also the'fruit' consisted on 1 quarter slice of a tomato, a sliver of a pineapple & 3 grapes that weren't tasty...I mean I'm paying 20$ plus tax.. they could do better. Also very loud! Could barely here my mom & aunt. There were people in there but the music was way too loud.
Already knew what I wanted coming in, but unfortunately the online menu is different from the menu in the restaurant. Online it said we could do 50/50 tater tots & truffle lemon potatoes as a side, but unfortunately that was not an option in the restaurant.
Menu is quite complicated, but the waiter was extremely friendly & was answering all of our questions!
In terms of the food I was quite satisfied. Loved the eggs & bacon. The bread came plain (I assumed it would come with butter), so I ate it like that, but they do have a big variation of jams you would have to ask for! The Crispy French toast was good, not the taste I was expecting at all (no cinnamon taste whatsoever), but good paired up with the maple syrup. The potatoes were very rich in flavour. Maybe almost too garlicky. Overall I was satisfied!
Our waiter had messed up the bills & then proceeded to charge us different amounts than what was on our bills, which was confusing.
Atmosphere is super cute! Perfect noise level & loved the booths. Everyone is so kind.
Would really love to try this place out again & see how i feel the second time around!
The food is excellent but the coffee was a disappointment. When it first opened, the coffee was the cherry in the Sundae. Our server told us then, that the coffee was a special blend prepared for Yolk's & it was delicious. The coffee the last two we were there left much to be desired. Too bad 😞

ambiance ++ serveuse 10/10 cuisine 1/10 gérance 3/10
4 assiettes/5 étaient tièdes ou froides la gérante nous promet une réduction sur les factures. Je suis le seul qui avait déjà été chez Yolks & c'est moi qui aie initié la plainte; pourtant je suis le seul dont la facture n'a pas été ajustée bien que Yolks aie dû changer mon café froid comme celui des 4 autres & que j'avais dit à la gérante que mes patates & oeufs étaient froids ... même pas tièdes.
J'ai détester mon expérience à ce restaurant. J'ai commandé les gauffres & poulet. Arriver à la moitié du poulet je me suis rendu compte le poulet n'était pas complètement cuit. Il était saignant & froid à l'intérieur. Je n'ai pas pu continuer à manger. Mon partenaire a commander des crêpes & elles n'étaient pas complètement cuites aussi. Le milieu était liquide pour des crêpes à 25$. J'ai aussi remarqué que l'on pouvais voir le cuisine d'où j'étais situé, & j'ai vu qu'un des cuisinier avait échappé de la nourriture à terre & la toute suite ramasser & remis dans le plats aves ses mains, sans gants!!!!!!! Ce n'est pas normale ??? Non ? J'ai demander à la serveuse qui était le cuisinier derrière qui ne porte pas de gants & elle m'a donné le nom de Tasso. Elle m'a dit que c'est lui qui prépare les plats. Je n'arrive pas à croire qu'on à engager quelqu'un comme cela sans être sûr que la personne manipulera la nourriture avec soin & non rendre les clients malades. Je vous préviens n'allez pas à ce restaurant à moins que vous voulez être malade & dépensé votre argent par la fenêtre. Vraiment déçu, je vais continuer a prévenir communauté de ne pas y aller. Un gros ZÉRO
I did not think it was possible to miss the mark on a plate of eggs & bacon.
Everything tasted awful including the eggs
The sausages were just inedible & the coffee & capuccino tasteless
After eating there you feel full but unwell.
Just go to Petinos on the other side of the street!
This was my second time at Yolks, & both visits have been amazing. I went with two others, & we all loved our meals. I ordered the Western fritata, & it was perfectly cooked. Every component of the dish was spot on. There were plenty of caramelized onions, peppers, & ham, & everything tasted fresh with a slight sweetness. The frittata wasn't heavy on the potatoes, & the balance with the eggs was excellent. It wasn't burnt, it wasn't runny, it was cooked perfectly. The flavours were incredible, especially when paired with their spicy sauce.
We also shared the crispy pecan & banana French toast, which was fantastic. It was perfectly crispy without being oily, & the maple syrup was just the right amount & tasted very fresh. This is a must try item at the restaurant.
One friend got the chicken & waffles & said it was amazing & perfectly cooked. My other friend ordered the ham Benedict & loved it as well. On a previous visit, I tried the Smokehouse Benedict. It was very good, although the bacon didn't taste particularly smoky, more like regular bacon but the spinach they use is excellent & complements the Benedict perfectly.
This place has truly become my favourite breakfast spot & I'll be coming back every time I'm in Montreal

We visited as a group of four & each ordered something different, which gave us a nice variety to try. I had the scrambled eggs with lemon fries & gluten-free bread, while two others ordered the chicken & waffles, & another chose a waffle dish.
The presentation of the food was beautiful-everything looked fresh, vibrant, & thoughtfully plated.
However, while eating & shortly after, all four of us began to feel unwell. This was very concerning, especially since we had different dishes. It unfortunately overshadowed the entire experience.
While the menu & presentation are appealing, our experience raises serious concerns about food quality & safety. We hope the restaurant looks into this, as it significantly impacted our visit.
There is only 2 choices for eggs, so you would think that they would know how to cook them correctly. I asked for poched eggs mollet. My egg was so overcooked that the yolk did not run. The toasts were cold & hard. The waiter did not come to ask if we wanted coffe refills. Needless to say I will not return there.
My friend was also very disappointed in the quality of her breakfast.
Fantastic breakfast spot! I decided to try their fried chicken burger & it was absolutely delicious, perfectly crispy. To top it off, the service was wonderfully attentive & welcoming from start to finish. Highly recommend!

Beautiful location with delicious food. My friend & I shared the cinnamon pecan waffle & the burger. Both were out of this world! Can't wait to go back.
When trying to make a reservation over the phone, the young lady told us that they didn't take reservations on weekends but that there shouldn't be much wait at 10am (the time I was trying to book for). My friends & I arrived on Saturday morning around 10am & as the young lady had predicted, we did not have to wait very long for a table. I will also mention that there is parking on-site, which is always appreciated. The food was delicious & the portions were generous. Now the reason for the 2 star review is because of the service we received; I am someone who goes out to eat often & I have never received a service like this one. The older gentleman who waited our table made us feel incredibly rushed, asking us if we wanted to take our leftovers to go while we were still eating, & shortly after asking if he can bring our bills. We were very shocked, as it didn't feel like we had arrived that long ago so it wasn't like we were unreasonably hoarding a table. I was so shocked that I checked the time (maybe time flew without us realizing?) & turns out we had only been there for an hour! On top of that, I was facing the door so I was able to see clients coming in & being seated not long after, so I am not sure what was the reason for such impatience but it left a bitter impression.
