The décor reflects the rich cultural heritage of Syria, with intricate patterns, warm earthy tones, & beautiful lanterns casting a soft, inviting glow. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance-relaxed yet lively, making it an ideal spot for both intimate dinners & gatherings with friends. The music playing softly in the background adds to the experience, with traditional melodies that complement the dining experience beautifully. The staff is incredibly welcoming, always ready with a smile & eager to share recommendations from the menu. As for the food, it's nothing short of spectacular. Each dish is a celebration of authentic Syrian flavors, made with fresh ingredients & a lot of love. From the perfectly spiced kebabs to the creamy hummus & freshly baked pita, every bite was a delight. The menu offers a wide variety of options, making it easy to find something for everyone. Damas is more than just a place to eat; it's an experience. The combination of delicious food, warm hospitality, & an unforgettable ambiance makes it a standout in the Mediterranean dining scene. The restaurant was beautiful. The service was incredible. & the food was absolutely amazing. Our server made a few recommendations & was very honest when he thought we might be ordering too much. He was spot on with the dishes he told us to try & with the number of plates we should get. The cocktails were fantastic - very fresh & refreshing. The desserts were super unique-you just save some space for them!

Damas is a famed Montreal restaurant that is hyped to be the best Syrian spot in town. The warm decor, beautiful lights, & upscale nature really makes this a place for special occasions. My friend was able to book us a table for a late night meal about a month in advance. They absolutely get booked up so if you want a table, be sure to plan ahead & make that reservation. Menu items are meant to be shared family style. As a vegan, it was admittedly hard for me to really justify ordering anything sharable that others would want given how pricy everything is on the menu. The two mezzes we had including the Fattoush Salad & their Hummus were already $50 for those alone, so you can imagine how high everything else would have been added up. I enjoyed the salad & its use of fresh ingredients, along with the hummus (which was by no means the best, but a solid hummus nonetheless). I really liked the circular pita that they provided with the hummus as it made for a great dipping mechanism for all of us. I don't think it's worth the price/value for someone that is plant based, despite them having options like grilled vegetables & what appeared to be a heartier legume dish. I think the price for these dishes is what get me so I can't in good faith absolutely recommend it unless you are someone that consumes animal products. With that said, the experience was great & I am very grateful to have even been a part of a meal with great company.

The is the Arab equivalent of Milos, enough said. Everything is exquisite, a true feast. The interior decor is beautiful, one of the prettiest restaurants I've been too. Is it expensive? Yes, I would even say it's one of the most expensive restaurants I've ever been to. Is it worth it? You'll have to taste it to find out.

Imagine the feeling when an European conqueror found asian spices for the first time. That's the same when eating at this place. Food is insanely good. Beautiful decor & the staff is really really nice & agreeable.

It's a gorgeous restaurant with a beautiful atmosphere. We ordered the tasting menu & we're not disappointed! Everything tasted fresh & the flavors were great. It's alot of food so ordering your favorite at bigger portions is also a great idea! You can't really go wrong! Enjoy!

Seriously good food & beautifully presented! We loved every bit of everything & the drinks are wonderful. On the pricey side. The restaurant was a bit louder than we had expected & less on the romantic side, though very nice. The staff was nice, but not overly nice. We had mentioned it's our 20th wedding anniversary & they didn't care which was a bit odd to us. For starters we shared the Hummus! It was absolutely scrumptious. For the main we got the grilled meat platter for two- it was delish & plenty of food! We were very full after our meal.

We visited Damas last week with our family. The food was exceptional - some favourites were the lamb with hummus, the fattoush salad, lamb dumplings, fried cheese dumplings - but everything was fabulous. The decor is beautiful & we received excellent service from Yannick. We will definitely return.
