We visited Damas for a special Mother's Day brunch, & the experience was absolutely exceptional from start to finish. The set menu was thoughtfully curated - each dish felt intentional, beautifully presented, & full of flavour. Everything we tasted was delicious.
The service is truly impeccable. The staff strike that perfect balance of warmth & professionalism that's increasingly rare, & it made the occasion feel genuinely special.
Damas has been my go-to restaurant in the city for good reason - the food, the atmosphere, & the hospitality consistently deliver at the highest level. If you're looking for a memorable dining experience in Montréal, this is the one.
La nourriture est exceptionnelle. Les repas sont riches & variés. Nous avons pris le menu dégustation avec l'accord de vins classiques. Je dois dire que parmi les grands restaurants de Montréal, il est dans les plus dispendieux. Le décor est magnifique & le service impeccable.
Bravo aux deux bonhommes qui pensent que couper du métal avec un grinder de 6:15 am à 7:30 am un Lundi férié c'est correct. C'est pas parceque t'es sur ta terrasse que personne t'entend , manque de savoir vivre flagrant. J'irai plus jamais au Damas.
My goodness I have no words to express how amazing this was. It was my first time trying Syrian cuisine & I loved it. From the waiter (Theo) to the meals, recommendations, wait staff ensuring we had all we need. Thank you! 10/10 🙌🏾

Went to Damas tonight with a friend & as usual, had incredible food - there is not a single bad thing I could say about the flavour profile of any dish.
Where it went downhill was with the service. When we got our bills, I noticed my cocktail was upcharged by $2 when compared to the menu. Not a big deal, but the principle of it is where the problem lies. When I raised it to our waiter, it took 5 minutes of back & forth with the staff before he came back with the corrected bill, a half-baked apology ('we don't usually try to pull this on our customers, but our menu prices really did change this week'), & nothing to make up for the situation.
My friend then notices the same thing, & before she can even show him where the problem was, the waiter proceeds to gaslight her into thinking the price she was charged for her cocktail was actually the price in the menu. I checked after the fact - it was not (see images attached - shai glace/th0 glac0).
For an establishment that prides itself on a refined & memorable experience, this left a really bad taste in my mouth. The last thing I want to be doing when leaving a restaurant is making sure the prices that were listed are in fact the prices that were charged. So disappointing. I would definitely think twice before making a reservation again - there are equally great restaurants in the city that actually engage in fair business practices.
The food was amazing, really tasty & full of flavor. It was on our bucket list & we're happy we went, but honestly not worth that kind of money. We got the dégustation menu at $160 per person, which felt pretty expensive for what you get, i would say 130$ max would be decent. Thank god I filled up on bread lol. Overall we'd definitly go back because the food was really good, but next time we'd just order plates & appetizers
We had a fantastic time at this restaurant. One of the top food experiences in Montreal thus far. The flavours are deep & unique, & very delicious. You can appreciate the use of high quality ingredients & expertly curated dishes.
The lamb was the best dish we tried.
We ordered several dishes & they were all fantastic. This restaurant is on the Amex platinum dining list, so you can use your annual $200 credit here.
We had high chairs, & the group was great with the children. The service is fantastic, your water will always be filled, & you can appreciate the attentiveness of the staff.
Don't miss this restaurant!!! Easily one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is joyous, the service & the food was absolutely outstanding-but it was John who made the evening truly unforgettable-he is EXPERT!!! All his recommendations were exceptional. I'm amazed that even though this restaurant is busy & well known, it always felt like an experience curated just to you-honestly, it's rare to find such attention to detail, extraordinary meals & beautiful service.
I'm already looking forward to my next visit. If you are in Montreal, Damas is an absolute must!
Really enjoyed Damas. Good was good. I found the tasting menu pricey for what we got. With wine & 15% tip it was 300$ per person. Next time I would opt for à la carte options.
The food here was absolutely stellar, & definitely one of the top restaurants in a week long visit to Montreal. The hummus shawarma was exceptional, & the mixed grill for two is definitely worth it, especially the shish taouk, lamb rack, & filet mignon kebab. The smoked eggplant puree with the lamb was chef's kiss. Definitely come here while in Montreal, but get a reservation.

Every dish is expertly prepared, cold & warm mezzes are great, the mixed grill superb, seasoning & cooking is perfect, the sides & sauces fantastic.
Expensive dinner, worth every penny.
