Overall, Daldongnae Korean BBQ in downtown Montreal is widely praised for its high quality meats, a generous and varied set of unlimited banchan, and a lively yet comfortable atmosphere where grilling at the table is part of the experience. Guests highlight attentive, friendly service that remains helpful without being pushy, quick refills on sides, and strong flavors across the menu, with standout items like beef, pork, egg dishes, kimchi stew, and the cheese corn that often accompanies meals. While the concept of cooking your own meat is noted, the staff support helps keep the experience smooth, and many say the portions and value are solid despite some noting peak times can feel rushed, portions can vary and a few dishes can be saltier or less tender. Overall it is considered a top choice for Korean BBQ in Montreal, a staple for groups and a consistent favorite that brings repeat visits.
this is one of the best kbbq places in mtl. we tried their kimchi pancake & their kimchi stew as well as a selection of bbq beef & pork- everything was just so incredibly tasty!! the service was quick & efficient & the staff was nice & welcoming. not to mention the overall atmosphere of the restaurant is so cozy. ill definitely be back with more friends! p.s. as for the price per person that i judged it to be... pls take it with a grain of salt; my friend & i ordered way too much food for the two of us 😭😭
Franchement une belle découverte que ce restaurant Coréen. Les ingrédients à griller sont de bonne qualité & nombreux. L'ambiance & le service au top. Une très belle expérience de l'Asie à Montréal

I really like the idea itself, but the execution turned out to be a failure for me. The wait is long enough I was waiting 25-30 minutes just for them to take my first order , there's not enough space & the food literally won't fit on the table, the serving is not convenient. unfortunately this place did not leave a good impression on me . I'm sorry
Great place, but food was poor. The interior deco is outstanding- 60's old authetic Korean. The service staff were efficient & friendly. BUT... the food... was very disappointing. We ordered 3 kinds of beef, & kimchi Jjige; the meat was tough, & the side dishes tasted nothing like Korean food, though looked like Korean. Kimchi stew was too sweet, side dishes were tasteless. Korean tourists beware... this is not the Korean restaurant you want. Try a few doors down ... Another Korean restaurant.
I used to go here a lot because as a Korean, it seemed the closest to legit Kbbq. Every time I visit, the side dishes downgrade. Less onions, less everything. No more 파절임. Higher prices. 20 dollars for 1 portion of pork belly that is self cooked is outrageous - i want to ask the margins 😂😂 of course the people interested in Korean culture will visit once in a while, but the business will lose repeat customers if they keep managing this way. No longer tipping when I come here
