coffee(294) cafe(250) beautiful(123) building(86) bank(83) architecture(81) drink(61) latte(55) recommend(47) seating(45) vibe(41) croissant(40)Likely a lot of the people came to look at the cafe, being named prettiest cafe in Montreal in the Time Out magazine. It was a very grand building, with high ceilings, & intricate designs. Standing room only on a Sunday afternoon. Had a hot chocolate & took in the scenery.
It's great a place to visit for architecture, but café is super full, barely have a place to sit down (a Saturday at noon for example), you have to pay extra to use the booths, pastries are quite on the expensive side, 8$ for a financier. Staff are helpful tho.
Maybe it was the over expectation that people created around it, but this wasn't the most wow experience. I mean yeah it has high ceilings & other old timey architectural stuff, but if you really wanna see that, just walk down to the Bank of Montreal Museum just down the street. It was all that done & preserved much better. Then the food menu isn't really well crafted. Just as a normal cafe anywhere would have. Tastes the same too. Then the seating is the worst thing of all. They haven't really figured out if they are serving daily customers or tourists or all-day working professionals. They've tried to cater to all, but failed to please any.
It is a vibe the cachet is so special come in early to get a seat if you wanna enjoy the experience!
Only good thing about this place is'The Place'. Old ancient bank building converted to cafe. Coffee & food is basic, nothing special. Located nearby metro stations. If driving, it will be bit hard to find a parking spot.
Iconic cafe in Montreal. Amazing service from Jordan & Maya. With such a beautiful space, I wished they care more about the setting & the way they used the space. The couches are not a good idea.
I wanted to take a moment to highly recommend Crew Collectif & Café to you. The professional service, experienced Baristas, excellent food, & stunning interior make it a must-visit spot in Montreal. The former Royal Bank of Canada head office, now transformed into this amazing café, is truly a sight to behold. If you find yourself in Montreal or your local area, I urge you to stop by Crew Collectif & Café for an unforgettable experience.
This café is a wonderful spot to relax & eat! The architecture is unique & has a profound sense of history, while the old decor has been repurposed into pleasant sitting areas. The food options were large for both beverages & meals, & they tasted wonderful. I appreciated that proper tableware was given for dine-in, rather than everything being one-use. I highly recommend this café for those local to Montreal, as well as folks visiting the city. ❤️
Beautiful cafe in a beautiful historic building. The coffee was great. The food was above average. The prices were reasonable for the space. If you like to sit on a sofa seep coffee & converse with others in a piece of history this is it.
The ambiance of the place is really nice. The cafe itself is okay. I would say coming here is just for the vibe of the place. There wasn't anything in the menu that stood out for me that was like Yes I need to come again. The hot chocolate was a bit too milky for my taste & the chocolate chip was crunchy. Overall, if you're new to Montreal I'd say this is a good introductory but not something to come back to.
Belle endroit mais impossible de trouver une place pour s'asseoir, pourrait au moins aviser la clientèle on a dû manger debout. Sinon il faut payer pour avoir certaine table..
"Un grand latté glacé pour Hank," as the barista called, I was about to respond & a dude cut the line & took my drink. Me: "Dude that's for Hank, which is me." The dude: "What? I'm Hank." Me: "no way dude. Out of all the cities in Canada we met dans une ville francophone. Are you for real?" Hank: "Yeah. I specifically named myself Hank to avoid this kind of situation in Montreal." The Hanks hugged it out after like brothers they never had with tears in their eyes . Montreal is truly a city of love. But yeah. I freaking love crew collective. It is perhaps one of my all time favourite cafes in the entire Canada. The building is breathtaking, & the coffee was nice. Its a must-visit whenever you're in town.
Le cidre chaud au caramel est absolument délicieux & le lieu est magnifique. Mais le service était ordinaire & payer pour pouvoir s'asseoir, non merci!
Best breakfast sandwich, fresh ingredients & delicious. I can't say enough about how good is the atmosphere
Great place & coffee but crowded & chance you find a place to sit is minimal
Great coffee (no drip), pastries & drinks (London fog had rosemary - nice addition). No drip/filter coffee Been here 2 times on holidays. Waits tend to be very long even in the afternoon but almost worth it during cold winters. Bring your own friends to hang out - this feels almost like an airport (bring your own chairs too) Pro tip: you can snap some pics & go without the wait
