However, the coffee was disappointing - my pistachio latte was overly sweet with no real pistachio flavor. Worth a visit for the vibe, but not for the drinks.
Stunning space in a former bank - the architecture & ambiance are absolutely worth a visit. Great spot for photos & working or relaxing. Coffee was just okay, but the vibe makes up for it. A must-see café for the atmosphere alone.
Not just a hype. It is the real deal!!
Best avocado Toast I've ever had. The coffee were on point!! However, the croissants were just okay. Best the whole vibe, service makes up for it.
I had the pleasure of visiting Crew Collective & Cafe L today, & I can honestly say it's one of the best coffee experiences I've ever had. The baristas were friendly & knowledgeable, taking the time to explain their different roasts & even suggesting a drink based on my preferences.
I tried their dulce de leche , & it was absolutely perfect - smooth, balanced, & rich with flavor. The latte art was a beautiful touch too! The shop itself has a cozy & historical vibe, with plenty of seating options for both individuals & groups. Plus, their selection of pastries was a great addition to the coffee.
What really stands out about this place is the attention to detail & the level of care they put into everything they do. I'll definitely be coming back for more, & I highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates high-quality coffee & a great environment to relax or work.
The vibe is magical but it's usually so crowded & nearly impossible to find somewhere to sit down & enjoy your drinks / food. I would definitely go back tho
Love this spot for vibey private meeting rooms, bookable online by the hour.
Breakfast for two on Tuesday morning.
1 x chicken blt sandwich
1 x avocado toast
2 orange juice + 1 coffee
The ingredients are fresh & generous. However the avocado toast is very difficult to eat with all the balsamic drizzle. It requires a steak knife but you are sitting on a couch with side tables. So we couldn't really eat it. We nibbled at the toast top ingredients & I shared my sandwich.
Unique setting in a rich historic building. Totally worth it just to stare at the ceiling.
Imagine a library vibe with lots of hipsters & MacBook Air.
Croissant was okay, pain au raisin is decent, espresso pulls were subpar. That said, the atmosphere, the ambiance, the service, & the vibes were incredible. I wasn't there to read or work but almost felt like I should go & grab a book to come back & read. The ceilings are incredibly high because this used to be a massive bank, & I'm so glad they've maintained the architecture & the grandness of it all. There are rooms you can book to cowork out of, otherwise you can pull up in the very big comfy couches or the tables all around. Highly recommend for the vibes!
It is a vibe the cachet is so special come in early to get a seat if you wanna enjoy the experience!
The ambiance of the place is really nice. The cafe itself is okay. I would say coming here is just for the vibe of the place. There wasn't anything in the menu that stood out for me that was like Yes I need to come again. The hot chocolate was a bit too milky for my taste & the chocolate chip was crunchy. Overall, if you're new to Montreal I'd say this is a good introductory but not something to come back to.
The place is beautiful but the drinks are not so great. I got the pistachio latte & it tasted very artificial. Just come here for vibes. Would come back to do work or hang out though.
Amazing location. Friendly staff good coffee. But damn open-office vibe. Conversations happen though the laptop, so the perfect spot to work (if you can cope with everyone around you doing theirs - & the tours that come by to show the spot). Go here for the architecture & a coffee to go.
Beautiful cafe with a nice vibe, highly recommend if you want something more chic & borderline 1920s. Very busy & crowded tho, & closes pretty early! Overall the drinks were good.
It's funny because to me, it's one of the most iconic cafe in Montreal by how it's located & how fancy it looks. There are always a ton of people & it's really nice to enjoy your time there. The coffee is as you would except from a nice coffee place, nothing more, nothing less. It is bright, but I feel like if I wanted to go to a cafe to study, i would go to somewhere where I could enjoy a bit more light, but this is more personal. Overall, I recommend to visit to at least get the vibe & feel it for real.
Come here for the atmosphere & vibes. Don't expect top tier coffee &/or food.
Built in an old bank. Super high cavernous ceilings. Ultra cool vibe. Got a matcha lemonade & dulce de leche iced coffee. Very content. The line was super long though. Service was great:)
Disappointed. & not great for actually co-work as they claim. For your info : the main parts for co working are NOT for free : you gotta be a member or something. The people who dont pay for the place are packed in one little area. Not very good to work, because it seems always super crowded. Super arrogant vibe. Very expensive - like for a bagel 15 dollars? With taxes i had to spend 25 dollars for a latte & a small bagel...! Nop. Wont come back.
