This is the second time I come here, & I'd recommend to order coffee & pastries ONLY it will be much faster. I believe they're pretty understaffed for the kitchen.
Grand, warm & inviting coffee shop perfect for breakfast & lunch/brunch. It's located in a prime spot on Rue St Jacques so it seems to be a favorite of the business crowd.
We went for breakfast & found the coffee & croissants to be just right for a cold, snowy December morning!
lovely place! coffee was delicious but very small cup & very expensive. Fantastic tidy spot.
Really good coffee but hot chocolate was soo bad… Nice atmosphere & good for taking pictures! & I wish they serve food with plates not'to go' style…
The barista was super sweet & the coffee was great. That being said, I ordered a breakfast sandwich (which is basic in my opinion) & it was really disappointing. The bread was bland & the overall was not very flavorful.
The place is beautiful. The coffee is great. Hot chocolate not good. Pastries average. It's loud that you can't really sit for too long. But the building in itself is a vibe.
I visited Crew Collective Cafe in Montreal for the first time yesterday. The space is huge & impressive, with a calm atmosphere that makes you slow down. I ordered coffee & enjoyed sitting there for a while. It's a great spot if you like spacious cafes & quiet time. I would visit again.
Considering the publicity Crew receives from being at the top of every list of study spots in the city, I find that their ban on laptops in most of the cafe to be a surprise. If they don't want people working outside of their pay-by-hour private rooms, that's their perogative. However, it might be more effective to advertise that more openly than just placing a sticker on every second table in both sections. After being asked to move, I did walk around a bit to find a new seat, but couldn't find any that seemed to be exempt from the laptop rule. Good coffee & fast service, but decide what kind of cafe you want to be 🤷?♀?
I usually don't leave reviews but I must say, your no laptop policy is ridiculous. I went for the first time today, the staff was super friendly & the building is amazing, the seats & the food are great as well. I went & sat down where it was relatively quiet, enjoyed my coffee & cream cheese bagel. I then took out my laptop to write a quick mail to my prof, I didn't even open my laptop yet when a staff member told me & another girl that we should move to another area with our laptops. They were nice & patient but also in a rush. I have never been here before so I didn't know where the other seating area was & the other girl also didn't know. It was busy & there was noone available to ask at the moment, so we both left. The situation made us as customers feel like we did something wrong. I am only writing this because it was very discouraging. Maybe you can put signs somewhere at the entrance so people know about the laptop & laptop free zones when coming in & make the signs visible even when it is crowded, not when they are already seated. I thought it was possible to go here to work. It felt a little bit like being kicked out, which is not a good feeling, especially as a Person Of Color.
Very unique place to enjoy some coffee & pastry! The food & drinks options are kind of limited but I believe people come here purely for the environment.
The outer area are meant for people to book & do work while the center area is free seating for cafe customers.
Service was ok, nothing bad or outstanding.
the most beautiful coffee shop you ever can visit in montreal. & the price is very reasonable compared to other fancy coffee shop, 20$ for two hot chocolate & one big biscuit noir. & i will say that's the best hot chocolate i ever tasted.
Cool atmosphere & decent coffee. Watched the guy making the soup use the same spoon to taste it over & over again. If you're concerned about germs/food safety I don't recommend the soup
I loved the old architecture & cozy vibes. It's such a stunning space! Delicious coffee.
good coffee & small (but good) selection of pastries but amazing environment/vibe. It is such a good place to take a break & enjoy nice architecture.
Went on a whim at 9am during the week day & the lines were moving fast . There's a lot an entire section behind the counter that had more seating if you don't see anything in the front .
Great coffee , food & ambiance . I enjoyed the chill music playing during the morning rush .
Staff were attentive & friendly :)
The architecture & aesthetics here are insane. Great vibes, good service & quick as well. I was happy to hear they offer co-working spaces, & they're affordable. Coffee is excellent as well, I looking forward to visiting again soon.
This is a beautiful place to come & have a coffee. Coffees were very good & the was food was good, but not extraordinary. The ambiance & breathtaking setting is worth it though. Highly recommend to come visit & enjoy the coffee!
Came in expecting an experience, what I got was a luke warm diluted cup of sadness. Probably one of the worst coffees I've had in a while. The steak sandwich didn't even have steak in it? & to top everything I was kicked out of my seat for working on my laptop??? Only redeeming factor of this place is the atmosphere. Would avoid, much better places around
I loved the old architecture & cozy vibe of Crew Café - it's such a stunning space! Honestly, I expected the coffee to be just okay since places like this are often overrated, but it was surprisingly really good. The only downside was the long line, though the service was impressively fast considering how many people were there. Definitely worth a visit!
