Sat for 25 minutes in the 2nd floor location. Not even acknowledged. Left.
Right in the heart of the historic district - surrounded by cobblestone streets, stone façades, & that unmistakable Old Town charm - this café feels like a perfect little pause button. Whether you're sightseeing, taking photos, or just wandering aimlessly through the old port area, it's an ideal stop to recharge.
The coffee here is honestly one of the best value finds in the area. In a neighborhood where prices can easily climb because of the tourist traffic, their $5 coffee feels like a small victory. & it's not just cheap - it's genuinely good. Rich, smooth, & properly brewed, it's the kind of cup you can sip slowly while watching the world pass by outside.
& then there are the crêpes. Fresh, warm, & surprisingly affordable, they're the perfect companion to your coffee. Light but satisfying, sweet without being overwhelming - exactly what you want when you're taking a break in the middle of exploring. It's rare to find a place in Old Montréal that offers both quality & reasonable pricing, especially right on Rue St-Paul E.
The atmosphere is relaxed & welcoming. It's the kind of café where you can comfortably sit for a while - not rushed, not overcrowded - just enjoying good food & good coffee in one of the most beautiful streets in the city. Whether you're a tourist or even a local rediscovering Old Montréal, this spot strikes that perfect balance between charm, comfort, & value.
The food was amazing & the service was fast too! I got the Nutella strawberry & banana crepe & it passed my expectations. Even the bites I got with nothing on it were delicious! Definitely one of the best crepes I've ever had (& it wasn't just because of the Nutella)
The Nutella, strawberry & banana crepe was amazing. Cool atmosphere.
Our food arrived after an hour. We asked the server where our food was & he couldn't say anything other than that it was going to come in a snarky tone, although other servers seemed nicer. We asked for water & that took another half hour too, which it really should not. Smoked turkey is bizarrely tough.
I had breakfast in this place & went to the bathroom, when I returned I had to turn on the computer & they removed me from the place because I had already eaten & could not be there
The crepes are very good. It was my second time visiting the place & in this case we stopped especially for lunch there.
Went inside as they have halal options but the poutine was very salty & not worth the price. Not recommended.
Let's be honest… I'm a huge crêpe fan. So when we stumbled upon Crêperie St. Paul, we walked right in (I mean it's eat-o'clock somewhere).
The interior of this second floor restaurant is small & cute. They have a large selection of crêpes to choose from, so if you're feeling sweet or salty, there's a variety of options.
We got my go-to Nutella with strawberry & banana & a savory chicken & bacon. The crêpes were good & hit the spot.
The plus side is the restaurant is located in the heart of old town Montréal, but thankfully the prices were reasonable. The service is very chill, it has definitely more of a cafeteria feel to it than a sit down establishment. So if you're looking for something quick with no frills, Crêperie St. Paul is a good option.

We only came in for hot cocoa so this is reviewed based on that experience. It was bad & they don't even fill the cup. For what we paid, it was not worth the money. It was just one packet of cocoa powder with hot water. The service wasn't horrible but not great either. They looked like they didn't want to work there.
