Chungchun Kogo Coreen draws mixed reviews: many diners praise the tasty crispy corn dogs with a wide range of sauces and toppings, good value and quick options for a crunchy lunch, and some note especially appealing versions like teriyaki coated or sweet potato pogo; others report long waits, occasional items sold out with few alternatives, and at least one instance of undercooked pogo. Online hours are sometimes wrong, leading to wasted trips. The Downtown location is described as the fastest, while service quality varies with visits, from friendly and attentive to average. Overall Chungchun Kogo Coreen is seen as delivering tasty options and solid value for pogo lovers, but satisfaction can vary by location and visit depending on stock, wait time, and how the staff handles substitutions or shortages.
This is one of my fav spots in mtl. Friendly service, music in atmosphere, & of course the food is tasty, crisp, & well served. & of yes they are busy, but itself worth to wait! 😉Cheers! ✌️

EDIT: The manager reached out to me & offered a box of four pogos. I arrived & was served very quickly. Most importantly, the food was very tasty. Thank you! --- I waited an hour for my order (a single item of less than $10). It was freezing in the restaurant as they kept the door open. When I asked about my order being late, I was told "well you should have asked before because our system has an error". I waited a few more minutes before leaving with a refund.

The food was pretty good. It was really nicely presented & tasted fresh & good. The staff was very patient & kind when I was ordering. I like that there was vegetarian options. The only things I noticed was that there were only two small tables covered in crumbs with no chairs. I suggest adding seating & cleaning up the tables.

My daughter had to try this. Was ok but nothing special. Biggest issue is it is fried & had seemed to have no salt. So flavor was very lacking. If I went back I would ask them to salt it immediately after bringing it out of the oil. The only real flavor you get is the little sauce they add. We choose the one with potatoes on the outside & a volcano one.
Excellent kogos! Not much to say for the dine in option as it's pretty much inexistent, but we were not expecting this for this type of restaurant. There are a lot of varieties to try!
When we arrived, there was no line. The self service is nice. The space inside is very tiny. If you see a line out the door, there is most likely a line that extends inside. Ordering was easy. Employee was nice & patient & helpful. The prices for the food is reasonable.
Would highly recommend getting it to snack on later or if you are craving these, try it when it is fresh. Either way, it's not bad to eat during your visit to Chinatown or when you're leaving.
