Reviews for Chungchun Kogo Coreen
It was very dirty. The bathrooms were full of furniture, the tables were covered in food & sticky stuff & the floors were dirty. The corn dogs were okay, nothing to write home about, wouldn't recommend considering the state of the establishment.
Delicious chungchun dogs! We took the sweet potato fries one & they were divine! The man at the cash was super nice, too! A++
Great food from chicken to kogos but it seems like the kogos are getting smaller over time. A month or two ago it looked a little small to me, but I didn't complain just assumed it was maybe a bit deformed in the frying, but this visit they were almost half the size as when I first starting frequenting this restaurant.
I commented on it but the employee just shrugged & said its the same no change. I always get the same kogos the #4 just mozz. This time it barely covered 1/4 of the stick. Kinda of disappointed & probably won't be back if this happens again. Not worth it for 6.50 a piece at this size..
I also saw the responses of other similar reviews saying the recipe hasn't changed, & each kogo is a specific size but this one was considerably smaller & quite frankly obvious so something must have changed or rules aren't being followed...
First time I tried it was in Hamilton & I can see that this location was just as good. Place is a bit small but came out relatively quick. Kinda weird that I didn't see anyone since you only order from a kiosk & then someone will call your name to pick it up the food.
It was fun & you don't have Only corn dogs you have a whole menu example Like Rice cake or fried chicken you can have fries ect
To the manager of this place. Please educate your workers on proper handling of food.
Today, we bought, 4 corndogs, fries & chicken.
As the front person was packing our order, he spilled the potatoes. Half of the contents ended up on the front cash table.
As I saw this, I quickly said'Don't do it bro' as I had already foreseen what he was trying to do.... put the spilled potatoes back in the container... sure enough that's what he did.
I then told him I did not want those. His excuse was'he always cleans the counter' & he asked me if I still wanted the half-filled container. When I said, NO as I paid in full, he then mumbled in the back on how it's such a waste of food.
When we got our new potatoes, I then reminded him NOT to do such things as it is NOT sanitary to put back spilled stuff back to customers.. NEVER.
He was full of excuses instead of being apologetic. His last excuse was he'is a minimum wager'.
Update (Response to Owner):
Your prompt reply is appreciated & mirrors your comittment to quality. In fairness, my order was replaced by new one. However, as you may agree, offering a spilled food back to customer should NEVER be an option.
They taste good but the corn dog size is getting smaller with each visit while price remains the same. Today's corn dog (attached photo) doesn't justify the 10$ price any longer.
