About us

It all started in 2009 when they met at a restaurant on Laurier Street. Their common passions quickly brought them together and united them at work as well as in a beautiful friendship. With 22 years of experience, Louis is a veteran in restauration. At the time, he quickly saw Felix's potential in the field. With his curiosity, skills and ambition Felix probably reminded him of himself that age. Inseparable since then, their passion for good food and good wine led them to create a restaurant that reflects their image. A dream come true: Chez BOSS & fils.

Excellent sur tout, Acceuil chalereux & tout les plats étaient un vrai régal, Service impeccable, si vous voulez une experience culinaire digne de grand chef cuisinier c'est l'endroit

A Wonderful First Experience at Boss & Fils in Verdun

I've been wanting to try Boss & Fils for a while, & I'm so glad I finally did! What a gem of a place tucked in the heart of Verdun. As soon as you walk in, you feel immediately welcomed; it has that cozy, family-run restaurant vibe that makes you feel at home.

We kicked things off with oysters, & wow, they were incredibly fresh. As a first-timer, I decided to try something new & paired them with smoked jalapeno instead of my usual minette or tabasco. I was blown away; the smoky heat was just sublime & really elevated the oysters to a whole new level.

For appetizers, we had the foie gras, which was absolutely divine, & the poached egg with asparagus; a perfect combination of flavors. For our main courses, I had the scallops, which were cooked to perfection, & my friend went for the steak, which was also amazing. The flavors were on point, everything was perfectly seasoned, & you could tell they use only high-quality ingredients.

Don't hesitate to ask the staff (or the owner) for a wine recommendation; they know their stuff! The wine pairing he suggested was spot on & complemented our meal beautifully.

To top it all off, we had the strawberry tartlette & chocolate brownie for dessert. While both were delicious, the chocolate brownie truly stole the show. It melted in your mouth & had the perfect balance of richness & sweetness; absolutely unforgettable.

The family & staff were so friendly & genuinely passionate about the food they serve. You can tell they put a lot of care into their dishes, especially since they use seasonal ingredients. I'll definitely be returning often!

Overall, Boss & Fils did not disappoint; if you're in the area, don't miss out on this incredible little spot! Highly recommended! Lo

La qualité des plats (fraîcheur, apparence & goût) a dépassé nos attentes. Il y avait trois plats principaux en plus de ceux qui figurent habituellement au menu. Spécialité de poisson (mais pas seulement) avec une petite touche asiatique. Le prix est raisonnable pour une telle qualité. Il y a possibilité de partager une entrée ou un dessert. On y retournera, c'est certain! Pour un osso bucco, peut-être. Sera-t-il à la hauteur du tartare de truite, des pétoncles & de la morue poêlée que nous avons dégustés hier?

Super expérience à ce restaurant. Le service était excellent, les propriétaires (un couple) étaient très sympathiques. Ils nous ont fait goûté à plusieurs vins d'importation privée tous aussi délicieux les uns que les autres. Nous avons pris plusieurs plats à partager, qui étaient tous aussi excellents les uns que les autres. Les desserts étaient aussi très bons. Les prix étaient étonnamment raisonnables, nous avons payé 70$/personne pour 9-10 plats à 4 avec une bouteille de vin & 1 digestif !!! Tout était parfait !

Excellente expérience au Chez Boss & Fils! Nous étions avec des amis vendredi soir. Quelle découverte pour nous tous! Le service était à la fois professionnel & chaleureux. C'est une équipe qui est évidemment passionnée de la restauration. La cuisine est franchement inspirée. Les entrées partagées de salade de tomates au fromage de chèvre & de pieuvre grillée sur fond de hommos étaient succulentes. Le plat de pétoncles fumées était à la fois spectaculaire & délicieux. & la préparation asiatique de la cote de porc était superbement réussie. La sélection du vin (très raisonnable), l'assiette de desserts & l'accompagnement tout le long du repas ont complété une soirée magique. Très recommandable! Merci à toute l'équipe!
