Le grillot est bon, mais deux fois, jai pris des bols de salade de macaroni à cote & les deux fois ils sentait surît & était deja expiré. La dernière chance que je leurs ai donné, le poulet bbq goutait louche aussi. Dommage, je me souviens la premiere fois que j'avais essayé, jai été bien satisfait.

The Good: The portion was reasonable & was served piping hot. The service was courteous.
The Bad: The plantains & the griot seemed to have been baked instead of fried & the rice & salad lacked a little salt. The prices are also a little high.
The Conclusion: If you have dietary restrictions (for salt & cholesterol for example) this meal would be a great'healthier' haitian food. When I go for haitian food, it's a treat for me cause I don't eat it everyday, so I want the traditional salty, spicy & greasy version.

I try to visit a new Haitian restaurant every time I pass by Montreal Nord, which isn't too often for me. The pricing here was bit higher than expected, but when I saw the big portion I was served it seemed more reasonable. I had my meal there & it was served in takeout containers instead of the available plates. But other than that detail the service was friendly, owners ensured that I was enjoying the meal. I went for their Chef Mak special chicken, a creation of their own which features a thicc, interesting thousand-island inspired sauce. Dish came with 3 pieces of chicken, a fat portion of creamy macaroni salad, a big pile of rice, pikliz, gravy & some plantain. The plantain was a bit dry for me but the rest of the items were awesome, particularly the macaroni salad.
Premier griot à Montréal depuis 6 ans à Québec. Il était délicieux, croustillant, tendre, goûteux. Portion très généreuse, pikliz avec un petit kick, salade de macaroni crémeuse. Certainement pas ma dernière fois à aller chez Chef Mak! Personnel souriant, service rapide & musique festive, que demander de mieux à quelques minutes de chez-soi. J'ai même des restes pour l'après-midi!
Facilement le meilleur griot que j'ai mangé. La viande est goûteuse & tendre, le pikliz est à se pèter la tête sur les murs. Le riz est juteux, même la salade de pâtes est sur la coche. Le bouillon est onctueux.
Le service est incroyable & la proprio est super gentille! Cherchez pas plus loin, c'est la place à aller pour manger haïtien.
The best Griot I've ever had. The pikliz is amazing, the broth is so rich in flavor, the mak salad is so creamy & tasty, the Griot is so tender & you get a good mix of lean & fatty pieces. They have won us over & we will be going back for years to come. The service was amazing as well. The woman working at the front was incredibly sweet & welcoming. The best experience overall for everything. 10/10 would recommend to everyone.
Un régal absolu ! Nous avons opté pour le griot, & chaque élément de l'assiette était un pur délice. Les plantains fondants, le riz collé savoureux, le griot bien tendre & croustillant, sans oublier la salade de macaroni (la meilleure en ville ), le pikliz relevé & la sauce exquise… Un véritable voyage de saveurs ! Une expérience culinaire à recommander sans hésitation.

J'ai été accueillie de manière très chaleureuse. L'assiette de griot était simplement phénoménale & la salade de macaroni qui est incluse dans l'assiette ne goûtait pas le "magasin" comme bien d'autres endroit! J'ai déjà hâte de retourner, merci pour ce goût de la culture haïtienne
WOW! Quel resto remarquable. Service de qualité, courtoisie, efficacité. Griot pas sec ni gras, avec jus goûteux & salé à souhait, riz collé délicieux, pas trop sec. La salade de macaroni est exceptionnelle, tellement bonne, & leur PIKLIZ Le meilleur de tout. Goûte exactement comme les piments antillais, piquant & plein de soleil. 1000x recommandé.
Freaking insane griot dans Ahuntsic que je recommande énormément ! L'ensemble des viandes sont préparées avec amour & savoir-faire authentique. Les sauces sont goûteuses, les plantains sont tendres, le pikliz parfaitement dosé acide-épice & la salade de macaroni est juste à tomber par terre. Je retournerai bientôt chez Chef Mak...Encore plus en appétit !
