Yéeee! premièrement le service est rapide , tu reçois ton plat chaud , le menu est super varié , il y a du choix & tout est excellent , plusieurs options de riz pour ceux qui préfère autre chose que le riz collé , le pikliz piquant comme on l'aime , les plantains croustillantes !! l'endroit est propre & bien entretenue, le personnel est accueillant !! I had a'Riz collé with griot' plate that came with a side of pasta salad.
The Good: The portion was reasonable & was served piping hot. The service was courteous.
The Bad: The plantains & the griot seemed to have been baked instead of fried & the rice & salad lacked a little salt. The prices are also a little high.
The Conclusion: If you have dietary restrictions (for salt & cholesterol for example) this meal would be a great'healthier' haitian food. When I go for haitian food, it's a treat for me cause I don't eat it everyday, so I want the traditional salty, spicy & greasy version.

I try to visit a new Haitian restaurant every time I pass by Montreal Nord, which isn't too often for me. The pricing here was bit higher than expected, but when I saw the big portion I was served it seemed more reasonable. I had my meal there & it was served in takeout containers instead of the available plates. But other than that detail the service was friendly, owners ensured that I was enjoying the meal. I went for their Chef Mak special chicken, a creation of their own which features a thicc, interesting thousand-island inspired sauce. Dish came with 3 pieces of chicken, a fat portion of creamy macaroni salad, a big pile of rice, pikliz, gravy & some plantain. The plantain was a bit dry for me but the rest of the items were awesome, particularly the macaroni salad.
Un régal absolu ! Nous avons opté pour le griot, & chaque élément de l'assiette était un pur délice. Les plantains fondants, le riz collé savoureux, le griot bien tendre & croustillant, sans oublier la salade de macaroni (la meilleure en ville ), le pikliz relevé & la sauce exquise… Un véritable voyage de saveurs ! Une expérience culinaire à recommander sans hésitation.
J'ai commandé pour emporter pour la première fois, & ça ne sera pas la dernière ! Agréablement surpris par les gros morceaux de griot & le riz collé qui était parfumé & rempli de saveurs. Tout repas inclut des plantains, le macaroni, la sauce & du pikliz. Si vous ne voulez pas cuisiner, cet endroit est une bonne option pour dépanner comme takeout.
Freaking insane griot dans Ahuntsic que je recommande énormément ! L'ensemble des viandes sont préparées avec amour & savoir-faire authentique. Les sauces sont goûteuses, les plantains sont tendres, le pikliz parfaitement dosé acide-épice & la salade de macaroni est juste à tomber par terre. Je retournerai bientôt chez Chef Mak...Encore plus en appétit !
I ordered for delivery & it was so damn GOOD!!!! tender pork, flavorful chicken BBQ, plantain croustillant, & the djon djon rice was AMAZING. Honestly really good . Highly recommend. Warning the piklitz can be a 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 spicy. Délicieux !!!! Tout était bon! 💯
