The service was impeccable, & wine recommendations perfect. The meat was a bit chewy :( & one of the dish not so great, the kind of haricot pasta, but that might just be to my taste. The rest was great. The menu changes often, so if you like the place, you can go many times & never experience the same dish.
The waiter was warm, knowledgeable & he gave us great service! The wine & food were on point! The wines are all local & biological, which was a bonus. The food was beautifully plated, & the flavor & cook of the meals were perfect. From start to finish, the meals were executed wonderfully. My only criticism would be that the portions were on the smaller side. You almost need to order two meals per person to get full, but it would be worth it.
Unexpected stumble to this place. Foods are delicious & beautiful presented. Tartine aux morilles & beet - rhubarb salads - cavatelli (with his Hungarian/Mediterranean twist no picture as we slurped so fast) were our favourite. We came back for the brunch as well. Anthony has been working as sous-chef at some institution in Montreal (Bouillon Bilk & Europea) before opened his own place at Bromont. Amelie, his partner in life & in business, is the one who makes the wine flow with many local beers, wines & ciders.
My experience at Chardo's on Saturday, December 16th, was nothing short of delightful. We were the first patrons to step through the doors a bit past 11 am, & right from the start, the atmosphere exuded a welcoming charm. Seated in one of the prime spots near the window, overlooking Shefford Street in Bromont, we enjoyed a captivating view of passersby. The ambiance set the perfect tone for a memorable dining experience. Our initial choice of red wine didn't quite hit the mark, but the attentive staff promptly replaced it with a recommendation from the owner. The second selection turned out to be a delightful surprise, showcasing the owner's expertise & commitment to ensuring a pleasurable dining experience. Now, let's talk about the star of the show - the food. It was nothing short of excellent, with a refined touch & a diverse selection that catered perfectly to our tastes. Chardo's proved to be a haven for culinary adventurers, offering a tantalizing array of dishes that exceeded our expectations. I wholeheartedly recommend Chardo's to anyone seeking a culinary adventure & a taste of something new. From the inviting atmosphere to the impeccable service & outstanding food, our visit was a true delight. Cheers, RC
Went here on the recommendation of someone from Balnea spa. So happy to have found this place. It was a quiet Sunday night which allowed us to chat with the owner, the bartender & chef de cuisine. They created a wonderful evening with amazing food & orange wine. Also enjoying an impromptu tasting of local vermouths with us. The only problem was that I wanted to order everything on the menu. Thank you Anthony, Matthew & Hubert, you guys are awesome! We will be back
Ever aspect of the evening was excellent. Great service & wine. Truly inspired menu & execution
A little wonder! On the plate, the quality & freshness of the products are absolutely remarkable. We appreciate the elegance & warmth of the decor. The natural wine list is well thought out. Impeccable service. One of the best restaurants in the region.
Must try the duck wings… & if you like discovering new wines, have a discussion with Marilou
We always enjoy the food, wine & ambience of Hard.
Would have liked more choices of main course. Wine by the glass a little expensive
Everyone ( servers, bussing staff, host) were welcoming & knowledgeable. The menu was focused on seasonal, local produce & was prepared with exceptional skill & artistry. Cocktails & wine were paired perfectly to the season & dishes. Wonderful experience in a beautiful town.
Excellent service, food & ambience!!! Highly recommend. It was pretty expensive, worth it, but just a note that it's quite pricey - $300 for 2 people, 3 courses & couple of glasses of wine each.
Excellent place to eat. We were there on a Thursday for lunch. Veal Tartare amazing. Husband ate best fish & chips ever! Red wine recommendation perfect. Red prune beer & nonalcoholic rhubarb drink amazing. Dessert delicious 😋 Also, our server did an excellent job. 10/10
Excellent food, good wine, nice seating very friendly & competent service. This was not the last time 😎
Nice seating, excellent service, food very solid, wine by the glass selection a little bit to much on the experimental side. Cool place - always a nice experience!
Small portions...Unfortunately low quality wine...However thank you for good service...
Probably one of the best tables in the province. Incredible wine list & knowledgeable staff. A hidden gem.
A memorable evening. Belly satisfying dishes, excellent wine, lively atmosphere...& stellar, warm, informative service.
Service was excellent , the waitress/ somm went out her way to introduce new wines & describe the many courses. Food was also excellent & seasonal.
Well done
This restaurant never disappoints. The menu is very creative & the quality is top notch. Artful presentation, unusual offerings, local ingredients & an interesting selection of wines at reasonable prices.
