Outstanding Mexican restaurant. It differs from the rest by serving quality & authentic dishes. Most Mexican restaurants in the city try to bulk up your plate with extra rice & tortillas. Casa Azul offers well-prepared reasonable portions. *If you're a drinker be prepared to pay close to 20$ per mixed drink.

As a Mexican, I can confidently say that this restaurant is the real deal! The food tastes just like what you'd find back home. The molcajete was an absolute standout-full of flavor & perfectly seasoned. The moles were rich, complex, & took me straight back to my grandma's kitchen. & the margaritas? On point! The balance of flavors was perfect, & they really know how to mix a drink. The staff was incredibly attentive & welcoming, making the whole experience even better. The ambiance truly transported me to Mexico-beautiful décor, vibrant colors, & the music made me feel right at home. If you're craving authentic Mexican food, this place is a must. Highly recommended!
Easily became my fave mexican restaurant! Went there for my birthday my first time & the staff was super kind & accommodating. Been there twice now & the food & quality, & service has always been consistent. I am also usually not a dessert person but I cant deny their pan de elote Highly recommend!
A cozy & beautifully decorated Mexican restaurant in Montreal! They offer a wide variety of fresh & delicious Mexican dishes, along with great drink options, especially if you're a fan of mezcal. The Alma Negra mezcal is highly recommended. The staff are incredibly welcoming & friendly. I celebrated a surprise birthday here, & I truly appreciated the thoughtful gestures from the team. It's a wonderful spot for authentic Mexican food & a vibrant atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit!
A Delightful Brunch Experience I recently enjoyed a brunch here, & I was thoroughly impressed. The service was excellent; the staff was attentive, friendly, & made us feel welcomed throughout our visit. The atmosphere was incredibly pleasant, providing a comfortable & inviting space to enjoy our meal. As for the food-simply exquisite! Each dish was beautifully presented & packed with flavor. From the traditional Mexican options to the more creative brunch dishes, everything was prepared with care & attention to detail. This brunch spot is perfect for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. Highly recommended!
What an amazing Mexican experience! Elevated traditional food! "Flautas" & "Salmon à l'érable" are my personal recommendations, but I think you can't get it wrong, no matter what you order.
Everything was incredibly tasty, from the ceviche, to the tacos & the mezcal drinks ( the Llorona is particularly divine). Mexican cuisine at its finest!
As I Mexican I can say this place is amazing! Margaritas 10/10, we got 4 different dishes & they were perfect. Shout out to tacos de asada! Service was also great, fast & efficient

Some of the best Mexican food I've ever had (coming from a Californian who's had great Mexican food). Highly recommend the Enchiladas Suizas & the Tacos de Camaron. The Bru mocktail was unreal. ¡Maravillosa!
We went there with our Mexican friends, so I feel like it should be quite authentic, at least the atmosphere was. We got a big plate (Molcajete Carne) full of different meats, surely a good choice for meat lovers & of course it would be enough for two persons. I absolutely recommend their Mezcals (go with Alma Negra), fantastic drink! Also if you'd like to get a nonalcoholic drink, I really liked their Aguas Frescas.
Was in Montreal for Cinco de Mayo & was lucky enough the stumble upon this awesome establishment. They had an incredible band & great atmosphere. People were up & dancing. Had the choriqueso & quack quack mole (duck with mole) which were great. Someone else got the poutine which was epic, loved the blend of Mexican flavors blended with the great taste of poutine. Washed the food down with margaritas & mojitos. Great restaurant, awesome interior & festive atmosphere!

Authentic Mexican restaurant on St-Denis street in Montreal. Delicious appetizers, seafood soup, moles, pepper stuffed with meat & nuts with pomegranate seeds.
I recently dined at the newly opened Mexican restaurant, & it was an absolute delight! The vibrant ambiance, coupled with attentive service, created a fantastic dining experience. The menu showcased a diverse array of authentic Mexican flavors, each dish bursting with freshness & authenticity. The chef's attention to detail truly stood out, making every bite a culinary adventure. From the mouthwatering tacos to the delectable desserts, every aspect exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this gem for anyone seeking an exceptional Mexican culinary journey. Five stars well-deserved!
Stunning new restaurant with incredible authentic Mexican food. The romantic high ceilings, oversized plants & music make you feel like you're on vacation. The space itself seems very well-suited to private events & special occasions. We enjoyed the chile nogada very much & look forward to trying other dishes. Service could use some fine-tuning - the desserts were very dry & the dulce de leche dessert was almost inedible, but our server did not notice or inquire when it was left almost untouched. The espresso was also charged incorrectly (but the owners offered to refund it immediately).
We were spending New Year's Eve in Montreal & found the restaurant the week they first opened. We love Mexican food but the food there was particularly spectacular. All the flavor combinations (I had a salmon carpaccio with mango sauce that was divine, my husband had carnitas tacos also amazing) plus drinks & staff very friendly & welcoming.
