Review Summary

Café September is widely celebrated as a premier brunch destination in Montreal, beloved for its exceptionally fluffy pancakes, comforting tomato soup paired with grilled cheese, and high-quality breakfast sandwiches. While the café maintains a vibrant, minimalist atmosphere and consistently friendly service, its popularity often leads to significant wait times and a crowded environment. Most patrons agree that the freshness and flavor of the dishes make the experience well worth the effort, especially when visiting during quieter weekday hours. Although the seating process can be hectic, the delicious coffee, artisanal lattes, and generous portions ensure that guests frequently return for another satisfying meal.

Excellent menu with enough variety in food that I never get tired of going there. Especially love the current seasonal shrimp roll!! Great cold brew too

Came here at 11:55am on Friday, June 28. Lunch rush so there was a line up get in & make an order. Waited about 20 mins. But it was worth the wait! Service was quick, efficient & welcoming. Plenty of seatings outside in front of the cafe, inside & outback! I got the matcha latte with almond milk, halloumi toast & soup of the day. Worth every penny! Freaking delicious!! Coming bacl to try their sandwhiches amd cookies & more lattes 😋

Initially, I thought it was merely a hyped-up cafe. How wrong I was! Everything exceeded expectations, from the welcoming service to the delicious food. I've already visited twice in just two weeks!

5 stars until early 2024 3 stars moving forward. Still a chill vibe but way too slow to get a coffee. Unless you're practicing for patience, service has been getting slower & slower almost every time this year. They might wana consider shuffling the staff around for the cashier/barista & put back the OG clique. Food is still excellent! Good job chef

Amazing food, practically to die for. Everything is done well. Drinks surprisingly did not blow my mind. You might find yourself waiting in a long line if you come at a busy hour, but I would say it is worth it.

Nice spot to grab a bite with coffee. I love the concept as it's very relaxed & chill. However, it can get very crowded & loud. They don't have AC so the humidity is on some other level on rainy days. The prices are expensive; BUT everything tasted amazing. I absolutely loved the Halloumi toast!!! I added an extra egg on the side & it totaled 17$. My friends burger & fries + cold brew were to die for - it cost 27$. I'll definitely be back for the food alone & chill atmosphere. However, please add AC.
