Café Paper Hill is a café-bistro offering a selection of certified coffees, local seasonal dishes you can eat in or take away, evening aperitifs, alongside books and newspapers so you can unplug and refuel. Located in a heritage building, this place has a storied past. The story we choose to celebrate is its early days as home to the first print houses and publishers of Montreal. J'ai beaucoup aimé mon passage au Café Paper Hill. Mon pain doré aux petits fruits était succulent. Mon latté cabane à sucre était bon, sans plus. Je dois mentionner que j'apprécie la zone resteraient de travail à l'ordinateur, cela permet d'avoir suffisamment de places pour tout le reste de la clientèle & une atmosphère agréable (points bonus pour la playlist qui oscillant entre artistes indie & succès des années 70-80-90,ainsi que la géante bibliothèque offrant livres & jeux de société pour passer un bon moment au Café).
My friend brought a sandwich from another store because he has diabetes & his blood sugar was ridiculously low, meaning he HAD to take a bite of his sandwich while we were waiting for our coffee. The manager of this cafe came up to my friend & said he was disrespectful to eat a sandwich from another place here. He immediately put the sandwich away, but she CONTINUED on telling him he was rude & disrespecting her establishment. He was extremely apologetic & I additionally told her he didn't know & won't do this in the future, but she continued to harass us. This entire situation could've been approached differently, & I will not be returning to a cafe who treats their customers in such a manner.
ALSO, the items were not even worth the hassle-the coffee & matcha were genuinely watered down. The quality was ridiculously disproportionate to the price. My friend THREW away the matcha because it was so watered down even after they modified it.
Great café with excellent coffee & a calm, inviting atmosphere, perfect for studying or reading. The only downside is the coffee is a bit pricier than average, but the quality & vibe make it worth it.
Very beautiful cafe, with a fun artistic & modern look. Very pleasant for work, or to grab a coffee with friends. However, it is quite popular for studying or working, especially on weekends, so plan your visit accordingly to make sure you have a seat in the « computer allowed » section
Je suis venue deux fois dans ce café, qui est agréable dans l'ensemble. Toutefois, lors de ma deuxième visite, après avoir effectué mes achats & m'être installée confortablement, on m'a informée que je ne pouvais pas m'asseoir à un certain endroit avec mon ordinateur.
Il aurait été apprécié que cette règle soit clairement communiquée à la clientèle à l'avance, plutôt que de devoir se faire déplacer une fois installée.
Cette expérience a été décevante. Je ne pense malheureusement pas revenir.

Perfect spot to study, work, read a book or even sit down & socialize with the people you are hanging out with. Their lattes are yummy & so are their pasteries. They have a place for computers & I genuinely think this is my favorite study spot. The aesthetic is extremely cute & the baristas are so sweet. I definitely reccomend this place for a study session.
Toujours un plaisir de venir étudier dans ce café. Il y a toujours de la place pour les ordinateurs & le personnel est très accueillant. Les cafés sont très bons également !

Lieu très sympa, personnel super gentil, cafés bon & parfois aussi originaux. Bien situé, c'est relativement grand.
Mais ce lieu ne sera pas mon premier choix car je tente de venir régulierement & je ne peux pas rester car pas de places. Les 3/4 occupé par des personnes avec ordi qui restent des heures durant, peu importe l'heure, de semaine ou de weekend. C'est franchement chiant. Ils restent des heures & des heures pour étudier ou travailler sans consommer spécialement. Donc au bout de la 4 eme fois, dommage je ne retesterai plus.
I tried the pink latte, & I thought it was quite interesting. It is just beetroot with milk, but the thick syrup at the bottom gave me a hint of a strawberry, fruity taste. It was quite nice. I didn't particularly enjoy the vibe when I stayed in, though; beautiful decor & space, just wasn't very comfortable for sitting alone.
