Tiramisu gave me memories of the tiramisu from my Italy trip. To conclude this place has great service & food.
I have been coming to this spot for years whenever I am wandering through Old Montreal. There is something about the atmosphere here that feels timeless & authentic. The espresso is always pulled perfectly & it is the ideal place to sit by the window & watch the tourists walk by. The staff handles the morning rush with such ease & professionalism that you barely notice how busy it actually gets.
The most creamiest coffee soft serve ice cream. The cafe sells other Italian desserts such as slices of tiramisu as well as gelato & beverages (espresso). There are multiple small ish tables that can sit 2-3 people. Went to try it around 5:30 on a Wednesday. Most of the tables were taken.
Swung by Cafe Olimpico while in Montreal for the weekend - heard the hype from a buddy back in Toronto. Espresso pulled solid, proper crema, nothing burnt. Latte was decent but milk could've been hotter. Vibe is old-school Italian, kinda loud, no wifi worth mentioning. Pastry case had a flaky cornetto that saved the visit. Worth the stop, eh.
Affogato was delicious. The espresso used was no joke. If you like strong espresso, this is it.
Visited Café Olimpico with friends & had such a great experience. We ordered the affogato & tiramisu, & both were absolutely amazing. The affogato was perfectly balanced with rich espresso & creamy gelato, while the tiramisu was fresh, soft, & full of flavor. The café has such a lively & cozy vibe, making it a perfect spot to relax & catch up with friends. Definitely a must-visit place in Montreal for coffee & dessert lovers!
Tucked along Old Montreal's cobblestone lined streets stands the exquisite Café Olimpico. The warmly lit, woodsy interior felt cozy & inviting when we first visited on a cold, drizzly Tuesday afternoon. The two young men working that day made us feel very welcome with their friendly conversation & good humor.
I ordered an affogato, & forgot to tell the barista -who had added a cannoli shell-that I have Celiac. But he was very understanding & patiently remade the drink without any complaint. The affogato itself was a heavenly merging of silky hazelnut gelato with the perfect shots of full-bodied espresso.
My kids (who do not have celiac) enjoyed fresh, delicious pastries. Among them was a Bombolini that contained a generous amount of rich, creamy filling.
We enjoyed our experience & can't wait to return!
Absolutely adored this cafe! My partner & I had the double espresso, mocha & tiramisu. Best we've ever had! The coffee was rich & smooth. The place was packed at 10 pm so we hit up the bar. We can't wait to come back on our next trip to Montreal. Thank you for helping us end off the night with coffee & dessert! We were lovers in paradise pumped for our next stop on our road trip :)
Cortado en espagnol veux dire cortar(to cut) & non court.
Un cortado est donc un espresso ((couper)) avec du lait & non un espresso corto ( court)
Cafe delicieux!
