Le Café Olimpico du Vieux-Montréal est largement salué comme un endroit italien bien aimé, avec un café riche et soyeux et une impressionnante sélection de pâtisseries dont tiramisu, cannoli, bomboloni et croissants pistache; l'intérieur chaleureux et le personnel accueillant créent une ambiance de cafe européen qui attire locaux et visiteurs, même lorsque l'espace est petit et que les files d'attente peuvent être longues; les clients soulignent des incontournables comme l'affogato, le cortado, le cappuccino et la glace, ainsi que des services généreux et parfois des accommodements attentifs pour les options sans gluten; l'esprit général est que cet endroit est une visite incontournable pour des saveurs authentiques, une atmosphère conviviale et un fort sens de la culture des cafes de Montréal.
Great coffee & nibbles. Given the limited seats, it would be great if their clients could go to the office instead of being on their laptops in the cafe.
I visited this cafe between 6 & 7 PM recently & had a very disappointing experience.
At first, I tried to overlook the ruined latte art as a simple mistake, but it was extremely rude & unpleasant that the staff cleared away my plate & coffee cup without asking me, simply assuming that I had finished.
What made this even more difficult to understand was that this is not a full-service restaurant with table service, & I had brought my own food & drink to the table myself. In that kind of cafe, it felt very strange for the staff to clear my table without first checking with me. It made me feel as though I was being pressured to leave, even though I was already fully aware that the cafe closes at midnight.
Since I was the only Asian customer in the store at the time, I could not help but wonder whether this was more than simple rudeness & may have been influenced by racial bias. I have worked in cafes & customer service in Canada myself & have visited many restaurants & cafes here, but this was the first time I had experienced service like this. I hope the staff will show basic courtesy in the future by checking with customers before clearing their table.

Café pour les touristes uniquement on dirait. J'y suis allée puisque je travaille dans le quartier & c'est à peine si on m'a dit bonjour contrairement aux touristes sur place à qui les employés font la conversation !
A very small & very busy cafe … However the service is very fast. I got latte, Tiramisu & the chocolate bar. Latte was good. Tiramisu was amazing ! It melts in your mouth. Chocolate bar was WOW ! I didn't see it coming ! It was a white chocolate with pistachio it was really good ! I will definitely gonna visit this place once I come back to Montreal !

Got the cafe crema, tiramisu & cannoli. Gotta say that they were even better than in Italy. Everything was better than excellent.
The only negative point is that the place is small & usually full of people so it's a to-go order 100% of the times.
Highly recommended.
A good spot to drop by & grab a coffee, latte, tea, etc. Atmosphere is nice despite people smoking by the entrance. Otherwise, a nice quick pit stop as you travel through Old Montreal.
C'est une vraie safe place ce café, j'aime beaucoup l'ambiance. Par contre, j'avais l'habitude d'y aller à 6h, & à chaque fois on m'a fait attendre parce que la personne à l'ouverture n'avait pas encore fini de tout préparer, même après 6h passé

Visited Café Olympico in the afternoon-super busy! Came back at night & got exceptional service from two amazing staff (wish I knew their names). Loved learning the inspiring story behind this place-thank you for making my visit so memorable!
Honestly cafe olimpico is the essence & embodiments of why I love being a Montrealer. I always feel like I belong when I go there, Julien & Sam are the most LOVELY people. Also , heavenly taste cookies are a MUUUUUUST. I walk 45 mins every week just to get them. Most underrated sweets eve
I was looking for a cafe & someone we asked on the street said this is the best cafe in old Montreal! I tried the smoked turkey sandwich & my gf had a croissant:) Julian & his son Nicholas were super friendly & even made us a dessert ! We got free stickers to take home with us to BC. Julian told us the history & welcomed us everyday with a greeting . We came back everyday for a cafe with our new friends! Definitely recommend all around best service :)
