It's a good place to try & draw since the old world brickwork compliments the wooden aesthetic. Seating might be tricky to get since it's always busy with so few seats.
Highly recommended for coffee lovers like us. I loved the crema cafe & my husband enjoyed remix cafe. We stayed in MTL 2 days & we visited this location everyday religiously for breakfast & dinner. The tiramisu & pistachios donuts were outstanding. Over all such a great experience & the staff are very friendly.
We will definitely come back again during our next visit.
I visited for the first time yesterday & was honestly shocked by the service.
The baristas were incredibly rude & acted like making my order was a major inconvenience.
Beyond the attitude, the drink felt like a total scam. I ordered a medium cortado, but the cup was barely half full. I understand a cortado is a small, traditional drink, but if you offer a'medium' size & charge more for it, you shouldn't be giving customers the same small amount of coffee.
Between the dismissive staff & the misleading pricing, I won't be coming back.
Save your money & go somewhere that actually wants your business.
A Montreal institution worth the visit for a good coffee & nice pastries.
?This is the best thing I've eaten on this trip!
& so kind!
?What a nice!!!!!!
Favorite coffee of the five cafes we hit in our long weekend in Montreal. The cortado was especially perfect & vibe in here was a super fun neighborhood joint.
Their coffee stands out as some of the most unique & best I've tasted in Montreal so fa
Café excellent & bon service! C'est très achalandé donc les employés travaillent très fort!! Chapeau!
A cafe at the perfect location, at the centre of Old Montreal. I absolutely loved everything I had here. Café Olimpico has to be one of the top bakery/coffee shops in Montreal. You must try the affogato & tiramisu if you visit this cafe. The lines are usually long during the day, so try to come here early in the morning to avoid the line & get a seat inside!
Went on a sunny but windy day & it was packed with people. The place was very lively but setting the tone for a friendly & inviting atmosphere.
The staff, while being quite busy, was still very friendly & patient with us. They gave us a few rounds of free water while in line & even a little chocolate on the house.
The drinks & snacks were fantastic as well & well worth the roughly 10min wait.
Would happily return next time I'm in the area!
This is hands down the best coffee I have EVER had. The Americano. & I have been all around Europe, Italy etc. The staff was very friendly too & even gave me a coffee on the house when I bought a bag! ( I had to take some home to Toronto). If you are anywhere near here - just go!
Very lovely little café on the corner. The atmosphere inside is incredibly charming. It's a small place. The warm lighting & stone walls make me feel like I am in a cozy countryside café somewhere in Europe. The barista working the morning shift was also adorable, humming while making coffee. Love this place so much. This place made my impression of Old Montreal even more special.
Great coffee & nibbles. Given the limited seats, it would be great if their clients could go to the office instead of being on their laptops in the cafe.
I visited this cafe between 6 & 7 PM recently & had a very disappointing experience.
At first, I tried to overlook the ruined latte art as a simple mistake, but it was extremely rude & unpleasant that the staff cleared away my plate & coffee cup without asking me, simply assuming that I had finished.
What made this even more difficult to understand was that this is not a full-service restaurant with table service, & I had brought my own food & drink to the table myself. In that kind of cafe, it felt very strange for the staff to clear my table without first checking with me. It made me feel as though I was being pressured to leave, even though I was already fully aware that the cafe closes at midnight.
Since I was the only Asian customer in the store at the time, I could not help but wonder whether this was more than simple rudeness & may have been influenced by racial bias. I have worked in cafes & customer service in Canada myself & have visited many restaurants & cafes here, but this was the first time I had experienced service like this. I hope the staff will show basic courtesy in the future by checking with customers before clearing their table.
The gelato was incredible! Would go back again next trip to Montreal.
Had some hot chocolate & it was delicious. Loved the ambiance as well.
