Laid back Japanese café with decent selection of onigiri & drinks! A perfect afternoon snack spot. Their matcha was really good & you can adjust the sweetness level to your liking. Friendly service :)

Such a lovely place. The matcha is really good, it actually tastes like matcha & not watered down milk like at so many other cafes. The onigiris are fresh & delicious. Excited to come here every time I'm in the area.
Absolutely delicious! Our favourite is the poulet frit. Staff are absolutely lovely. The cafe is calming & comforting. Such a beautiful corner of le Plateau.

Le café le nigiriz is a cozy beautiful cute spot for onigiri. The onigiri were so cute, fresh & tasty! The service was really wonderful!! The side dishes were truly tasty. Highly recommend!!✌?
Tout le menus est excellent , le service est super & l'ambiance générale est superbe aussi.
Par contre , les gens qui vont monopoliser toute les tables avec leurs foutu ordinateur sont de vrais plais ouverte ! Avant , J'y allait plusieurs fois par semaine. C'était un de mes endroits préféré jusqu'au jours où il y a eu touts ces larves qui prennent l'endroit pour un cyber café qui viennent tout gaché….A tout les fois que j'y vais car j'ai envi d'y aller pour dîner j'entre à peine à l'intérieur que je vois l'endroit bondé de touts c'est parasite qui empêche quiconque de s'installer pour manger..donc à toute les fois j'abandonne & je vais ailleurs…Il y a une seule fois où j'ai pu avoir une place & les énergumènes sur leur PC mon bien fait comprendre avec leur regard que je dérangeais..je me suis même fait dire par l'une d'entre elle si je pouvais me dépêcher car son amie arrivait bientôt pour s'installer avec son ordinateur & qu'elle voulais lui garder la place..donc maintenant pour moi c'est terminer..
Sincèrement si les propriétaires ou des employés voient cette avis, faite bannir les ordinateurs du café….
Such a great local discovery! One of the best cafés in the area, in my opinion. The Onigiri is amazing, great portion, & like most people are saying, the matcha & hojicha lattes are hands-down the BEST I've ever had in the city. The staff is very sweet & friendly, & the space is filled with art, plays fantastic music (always great music choices!) & the bathrooms are always impeccably clean. Love that it's open later than most cafes in the area, too. Nice place to work or study & grab a tasty bite to eat at the same time! 10/10 ⭐

Café le NIGIRIZ offers a delightful snacking experience with perfectly textured rice triangles, a variety of flavors, & affordable prices. The low-key, cozy atmosphere adds to its charm, while the miso soup & sides complement the Onigiris beautifully. Don't miss the ginger honey cookie-soft, flavorful, & absolutely irresistible!
I LOVE this café!!! Their matcha & hojicha lattes are both insanely good (the best I've ever had!) & their onigiri are tasty, filling, & reasonably priced. The decor is gorgeous & the atmosphere is great. The owners & staff are always very nice & welcoming. I've told all of my friends about this place & I couldn't recommend them enough!
We really wanted to go here at 4:30pm on a Saturday after many hours of walking in the area for a bite & to warm up. Unfortunately 1) every single person in the cafe was on their laptop & there was nowhere to sit 2) they did not have one tea or beverage without caffeine. Too bad.
Qu'il est bon & réconfortant parfois de se perdre dans une ville en flânant sans nécessité & de tomber par hasard sur une belle pépite comme ce charmant petit café japonais ! Montréal comme on l'aime !

What a cozy, serene feel once stepped into this Japanese cafe? Really no expect that this cafe's so cool. Their hojicha lattes made by Japanese themselves is really different than foreign hands, right? The hojicha here tastes really good.....rich aroma, creamy & smooth unlike I had been tasted so far. Even, their onigri shaped round is unique form to me....what a good combination Asian tea-times with an aesthetic atmosphere? 🥰🍵🍘🌬️
The Staff is very sweet & bring a lot of good vibes to this café ☺️. The décor was very interesting with a lot of hidden details! The tea was really good as well & we really recommend the Tuna Mayo onigiris! We were just visiting Montreal but if we came back we would love to drop by this café again.✨
