i went for lunch & got the arancini as an app, it was very good but had to ask for a side of marinara sauce. for main course i got the STK wrap & honestly was very mediocre, the steak was chewy & there was just too much arugula it was overtaking, but the rigatoni rose was very good. service was also relatively fast we only had to wait abt 10 mins.

I've read about the bad service there but i thought people were just unlucky. Turns out probably everyone gets a bad service. The restaurant is either understaffed or people are slow. We waited 25 minutes for cocktails then everything came at the same time, appetizer & meals with the cocktails… not my idea of a relaxing & enjoyable meal.

The food is great but it's painful to be there waiting for cocktails & service. I'm sure they undersell every table because of the waiters.

They need suiters for water & reduce the amount of table per waiter if they are that slow.

Side note, the waiter couldnt speak french & this is very disappointing. I dont expect perfect french in the west island but i expect someone explaining the menu in french!

We recently held our high school reunion at Cafe Gentile DDO. Tanya was incredibly accommodating & made the planning process easy, even with our changing guest count. Food was excellent, the service was outstanding, & the entire evening ran smoothly. A big thank-you to Tanya & the whole team for helping make our reunion such a memorable night. Highly recommend!

The place is really nice. I want to go back for sure to try the pizzas. My lunch was ok but it was missing flavor. The coffee is amazing & the tiramisu for sure is a must. Can't wait to go back to try something else

The coffee is extremely inconsistent. I've had both good experiences & terrible ones here. Unfortunately, the bad ones stick with me far more than the good. Too bad some of the staff are rude at times as well (usually the older staff, while the younger tend to be more polite).

What a great experience Cafe Gentile was, food was exceptional & the service was just perfect. I coulnt have asked for a better waiter than Davio. He was very professional & experienced!

Had a great lunch with my wife at Gentile's. Our waiter Matthew gave us a splendid service. The Salad special he recommended to us was fantastic. Will definitely come again!!
