My husband & I came in from out of town after hearing so many great things about this place - & WOW, it absolutely lived up to the hype! From the moment we walked in, the service was amazing & made us feel right at home. The food was incredible, fresh, flavorful, & tasted like someone's Italian grandma was back there cooking with love. The drinks were spot on, & the biscotti? We grabbed some to go & I'm still thinking about it… hands down the BEST biscotti I've ever had! Already counting down until we can come back!
Hi I have been 3x the first two were amazing, great food, however the other day I ordered takeout chicken sandwich & pasta & it was the only thing I ate that day & it gave me food poisoning. Would be careful with how you are cooking the chicken!!
Great atmosphere & drinks but the food was a bit of a letdown, especially at the price point. My lasagna was dry & didn't quite taste like it was made that day (per the menu).

A lovely spot with a great atmosphere & friendly service. On a few occasions, when we asked to split specific items between two bills, there seemed to be small errors in how it was calculated. I didn't raise it at the time, but it's something that stood out & could be improved to make the experience even smoother.
The food was acceptable; unfortunately, the level of customer service did not meet the same standard. The gentleman overseeing the establishment appeared to mistake arrogance for professionalism, lacking both tact & basic savoir-faire. While the dining experience itself was forgettable, the attitude on display was remarkably memorable - though not in the way one would hope. Needless to say, this is not an establishment I intend to revisit anytime soon, if ever.
Best place in town! Absolutely love this place. The atmosphere is warm & stylish, perfect for both a quick coffee or a relaxed meal. The service is attentive & friendly, & everything we try is fresh & delicious.
The food is very good. The atmosphere is too loud. What I did not appreciate is that they charged me 0.50$ for hot water & lemon. No other restaurant has ever charged me for that. I find that very cheap of this restaurant to charge for this especially considering that my bill was close to a $100.

The service was outstanding, the food gourmet & beautifully presented.
The restaurant is very nice, definitely go for the food. For conversations it may be a little to noisy.
I'm a local patron & frequent Gentile in the West Island often.
I decided to book Gentile for a Corporate event where I had 50 people attend an event of high importance.
The presentation of my lunch bags was pitiful where I had asked for a description of what the sandwiches were to be on each bag .What I received was abbreviated terms unknown to those making a selection which led to a disorganized flow for the event. My lunch bags were not cheap & you would expect a top quality offering.
I reached out after the event to share my feedback & was told they would be in touch & they never did get in touch .
Very disappointing - no customer service follow up as promised.
4th time here & it NEVER disappoints. The food is EXCELLENT & unlike any other place on the West Island. So happy we have this gem in the West. I had the best waiter (hi Adam!) & hope I get him again!
The waitress was rude. When an extra friend showed up, she refused to bring a chair or utensils for her. She also dropped the order in the middle of the table instead of serving it properly. I will never go there again.
I went with some friends yesterday. We didn't think of making reservations since it was during the week. The staff made sure we were well taking care of in the cafe section. Multiple times they came to ask if we're comfortable & if we needed anything. At the end of the evening they thanked us several times for coming.
Such a pleasure being surrounded by this environment. We definitely go back.

Cute spot with really nice decor & a cozy atmosphere. The service was great, friendly, attentive, & made the experience enjoyable. The food was okay, but nothing particularly memorable. I wouldn't go out of my way for the food alone, but it's still a nice place to visit for the ambiance & service.
