Un restaurant avec 10 plats au menu se doit d'avoir des plats qui sont WOW. Ce n'est pas le cas pour ce resto. C'était notre première fois, & probablement notre dernière.
A good restaurant overall, but with a few considerations.
First, the service was excellent - truly hard to fault. The atmosphere was also very pleasant, & I honestly don't have any complaints about the space itself.
Now, about the food. I believe this place has gained a lot of hype because of TikTok, & for that reason, I found it a bit overrated. The food is good & has a very homemade feel to it. The meatballs ($15 for three pieces), paired with the focaccia ($7), tasted like something your grandmother would make - comforting & satisfying, but without that'wow' factor that makes you think about a dish for days afterward. For such simple, home-style flavors, I found it somewhat expensive.
For the main course, I had the Zozzona. It felt a bit more restaurant-worthy, but again, there was nothing particularly complex or unique about it - just a tasty pasta dish that many other places can execute equally well.
To finish, I had the tiramisu. It was good, but not memorable. In fact, that sums up the entire meal: everything was tasty, but nothing was exceptional or'pray-between-bites' good.
What surprised me most was the final bill. After taxes, it came to only $36, which was less than I expected. For that price, I ate quite well & left satisfied. Still, despite the hype, I wouldn't describe the experience as anything particularly special.
First time & def won't be the last ! Food amazing especially the octopus & pasta al fungi. & most of all the excellent Pasha for the most amazing service. See u soon !
Fantastic food & service. Special thanks Milton was so informative & a complete pleasure. Thank you guys. 5 stars. ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐
Wife & I had two separate visits to this wonderful Italian bistro in the last few weeks & both times the experience was fantastic.
Great food, wonderfully attentive service & an eclectic charm that made us feel right at home.
Shout out to Meghan who was our server on both occasions.
Definitely moved onto our favourites list !
Reservations are a very good idea as it fills up quickly on the weekends ( Thurs-Sun ).
desserts are delightful as well.
Great wine list.
It certainly delivers! The appetizers were standout dishes, & the service was impeccable. The cesar salad wasn't to my taste (very overdressed) but the staff was extremely kind & accommodating. I love the atmosphere-I'm a sucker for Lady & the Tramp style checkered tables. This felt like sharing the last meatball with my love, but elevated. I will be going back.
It's Sunday afternoon,
if u misses out on early weekend.
This place is crazy !
Welcome to the area ☺?could you please lower the music & manage your crowds. We want you to prospere but the bass is quite heavy & people from residential areas needs some rest also, during the day & night.
Thank you 🙏
While the service was not bad & atmosphere was great, I have had much better food. The lamb skewers had no flavor & the Nordic risotto just tasted like I was eating a hand full of herbs. My wife makes better pasta & risotto at home.
We went with high expectations given the hype & despite good service & a trendy atmosphere, the food was positively mediocre. After waiting quite some time for our drinks had to send back a negroni sbagliato because it just tasted like prosecco & a vodka soda that tasted like soda. They didn't have the bufala mozarella, suggested the meatballs which were flavourless & seemed undercooked. The curly fries with meat sauce tasted likd Mccain frozen fries & a canned sauce. The mushroom & truffle pasta did not contain any actual truffle had a gooey texture & defintely needed salt & pepper. Unfrotunately won't be returning here.
