C'était ma quatrième ou cinquième fois au Cadet & hélas je ne crois pas y retourner. Déjà nous étions mal installées pour 5, la personne au bout était très inconfortable. De plus, Payer plus de 80$ pour avoir tellement faim en revenant chez moi que je dois manger c'est un peu ridicule... Un plat de gnocchis avec 6-8 petits gnocchis frits & secs avec une cuillère à soupe de porc pour 25$... Quelques choux fleurs pas mauvais mais rien de spécial... une croquette de morue (bonne) & 2 drinks. Un service vraiment inattentif. Pas capable de nous dire si oui ou non il y a des produits laitiers ou pas dans les plats, ma copine a fini par prendre ses médicaments contre l'intolérance car elle ne savait plus, vu l'information contradictoire. On a demandé des brocolis, on est 5 à avoir entendu qu'on l'a demandé & le serveur nous dit que non... lololol. En plus on a poliment mais clairement exprimé des insatisfactions mais on n'a eu aucune compensation. Pas de réduction, même pas un petit shooter. Désolée mais ce n'est vraiment pas a la hauteur. Dommage j'aimais ce restaurant. Mais ça n'a vraiment plus rien à voir avec ce que c'était.View more
What an amazing restaurant. We are in Montreal for a weekend visit & had the best meal in a very long time at Cadet (our first but not last visit). Plates are smaller for sharing, tapas style. We ordered 5 dishes & 2 desserts for 2 people. Total bill with 2 bottles of sparkling water (no alcohol) came to $160 before tip. Every bite was delicious & prepared to perfection, & the service attentive, friendly & quick. The atmosphere a perfect mix of lively while still being able to hold a conversation. We will definitely come back here & highly recommend Cadet for a great experience. Avec mon conjoint nous avons découvert ce charmant restaurant un dimanche soir. L'ambiance était très calme & très agréable. Niveau service tout à était très bien présenté & très bien conseillé. Niveau nourriture : nous étions 2 & nous avons pris la focaccia, le choux fleur, la coppa, les brocolis & spatzel, & les gnocchis + la tarte au chocolat que l'on s'est partagé. Donc 5 "plats a partagés" & un dessert & ça nous a bien remplis le ventre, on aurait même pu se passer du dessert (ou d'un plat) donc je recommande de suivre les conseils des serveurs/serveuses quand à la quantité à commander. Original & unique plates, every single one was spot clean after we were done. Everything we had was delicious, by order of preference : 1) Brocoli (house specialty, don't miss it but it is quite heavy) 2) scallops 3) beef tartare 4) salmon 5] lamb chops (despite being highly reviewed, we found it to be pretty basic & the least impressive yet still okay) 6) bread pudding (not great, would recommend trying another dessert)View more

Food id amazing, completely unexpected, the flavors are combined in a very unique way & they just blew our mind. The only comment we have is that the services was extremely slow & it took a long time for the waitress to take our order & come over to the table. Place has a lot of wine choices & a full bar. The menu has a variety of vegetarian, Seafood & red meat dishes as well as appetizers. We have a few of each category. By far, the best options we tried were the vegetarian & the seafood options. A notable mention was the sea bass & the calamari. Everything we tried was good however. The service was on point, courteous, prompt & the waiter came to check on us frequently. We never ran out of water. The service was also quite quick as they are used to getting people who come in then go to a show after, so the service is built around that. The desserts were tasty but not very creative. Of notable mention the yuzu deconstructed dessert. I would go back here for the quality, the food & the service.View more
