Le Lion de Bourgogne n'est pas un pub « traditionnel » selon les standards montréalais, ni britanniques. Nous cherchons à présenter un produit supérieur aux autres pubs établis, côté nourriture, service, et ambiance. Le Lion de Bourgogne offre une sélection impressionnante de whiskeys et de bières, ainsi qu'une carte de vins et de cocktails modernes.

It used to be good, but it has changed. Food is mediocre. I had fish & chips, & It tasted like It just got out of a frozen box & mixed in a batter that was sitting there for a full day (not fresh). The chips(fries) were cold & oily-soggy. My partner has the steak pie, & there was more sauce & non meat, for the price we expected better. If you sit near the kitchen & washroom area, It has a sewage-moldy smell... Very odd. Or could that be the ventilation system? Not too pleasant. There's not much to say about the service. They were doing their jobs, that's all. Lack of smile, It almost felt that some didn't want to be there or just tired. The atmosphere of the pub is fun, that's the only good part of it. I do not think to return for a while.
Best British pub in the city! Great neighbourhood vibe, staff is the best! Love their Burgundy Ale & incredible selection of whiskey choices. Their yearly St George's Day Pub Bus tour is so much fun! The double decker bus drive us for fun & drinks at Bishop & Baggs for breakfast, Britt's & Chips for lunch, Wolf & Workman for cocktails then dinner at the Burgundy Liion. Fun, fun, fun with new & old friends, Knights, touring the city & slaying the dragon ending.
LE pub anglais de Montréal 👌 Par dessus tout le pub des supporters d'Arsenal 😍 Chaque gunner qui passe par MTL doit venir regarder un match ici, ambiance garantie ! Le service est impeccable, le personnel est très gentil & sympathique 🤝 Bref je recommande à tout amateur de football & de bières COYG!
Good British posh pub vibes ! it serves the classic pub comforting food but expensive I tried the bangers & mash with gravy It was tasteful & filling The fish&chips was good, crispy batter & chips. The sticky toffee pudding was a large warm & sweet cake, wish I had a bigger piece of ice cream on top to go with it. Great choice of draft beer too
I recently visited the Burgundy Lyon pub in Montreal & had a mixed experience. -The French onion soup was unusual, with a tomato base & cheddar cheese, which was an unexpected twist on a classic. -However, the service was good, & the staff were friendly & attentive. -The atmosphere of the place is also quite enjoyable. /On the downside, the fish & chips were disappointing as the fish came unsalted, which affected the overall flavor & the batter was quite thick. Overall, it was an okay visit, but there's room for improvement in the food department.

I have been to this pub countless times from brunch (during Prince Harry & Meghan Markle's wedding event), to lunch, to dinner & for drinks. Therefore, this spot is one of my favorite place. Throughout the years some staffs were amazing & some average. Foods & drinks are always awesome. The atmosphere is always vibrant.
For a casual drink or get-together, it is a very lively pub. There is a good variety on the drinks menu for cocktails, beer, wine, & cider. The specialty, of course, is the extensive whiskey menu! The staff were friendly & efficient & the interior of the pub had a very warm glow. Would certainly return to this bar again with a group.
Probably my favourite pub in MTL. The food is very good (relative to pubs) - I've had their Shepherd's Pie, Burger, Fish & Chips, & Tikka Masala. So far, my favourite is the Fish & Chips. The Tikka Masala was average, the burger is quite good although inconsistent, & the Shepherd's Pie was tasty. I love their Murphy's Irish stout. It always tastes great & they're generally poured well. One small critique would be bubbles in the head. Otherwise a great pint. I recommend this place to anybody who loves a pub with good food, beer, ambiance, & old-style decore. It doesn't disappoint.
Fun pub atmosphere. I have been there twice now & will definitely go again. Beer selection is good & I've yet to try something I don't love from the menu. (we've tried the onion soup, scotch egg, fish & chips, cod, & my favourite so far is the shepherd's pie). This year I plan on trying their whiskey tasting & high tea. Staff is fast & friendly.
Always a great experience, traditionally UK pub like atmosphere, service team is always very pleasant & attentive. Good fish & chips, burgers & curry.....well done...see you again soon.
Great spot for match day, & great British pub vibes! Love the selection of whiskey available & the hearty meals, particularly the fish & chips are a great compliment to it. A must visit if you're into football.
A phenomenal British Pub! Good food, good beer, great atmosphere! We did the Private Whisky tasting. The Whisky was amazing, but the experience was made a thousand times more special by Toby. Learning the history behind Whisky & how various distillers work was incredible. Toby's knowledge is vast & his passion is invaluable to the entire experience. If you've been thinking about having a private tasting with an expert guiding you through it; I cannot recommend Burgundy Lion & Toby enough! Thanks for an unforgettable event!
we went out for the pub quiz, & it was lots of fun. great variety of categories, & enthusiastic hosting. Service was friendly & accurate (though a bit slow, especially early in the evening- it was really busy!) & the food was great pub fare. all in all, a really great evening.
