Review Summary

Le Manoir in Pointe-Claire is described as a reliable West Island staple with generous portions, a wide menu and a lively sports bar vibe that makes it a popular spot for family outings, group gatherings and game nights; the atmosphere is commonly praised as warm and cozy, with good service and reasonable prices, though it can get busy on sports evenings and reservations are often advised. The food is frequently noted as well prepared, and it's widely enjoyed across a range of dishes from roasts and burgers to nachos, wings, and fish and chips, with particular mentions of French onion soup and turkey takeout being highlights; however, a few visits have fallen short with undercooked rice and fries or inconsistent kitchen results, and there are occasional complaints about cleanliness or perceived declines when menu changes occurred. The staff are generally described as friendly and efficient, with several servers singled out for attentive service, and the venue's large TV screens, outdoor seating and long history as a local institution contribute to its appeal, even as some diners lament changes to the Canadienne Quebecoise platter and the overall value on certain items.

Great prices on beer. Love the big bottles. Good sports bar, lots of tvs. The burgers have very thin patties but I still thought the burger was really good with the double patty option.

It's ok - service is fast & efficient but not warm & friendly. Wait time for food is similar to fast food restaurants. Family ordered avocado toast & eggs Benedict - avocado is a prepared mix & not actual fresh avocado, Hollandaise sauce tasted more like lemon juice.

Entrée très difficile à trouver si on ne connaît pas déjà l'endroit. Maps vous envoie sur le coin de la rue où aucune enseigne est visible, surtout le soir. Un néon serait bien utile!

We ordered a plate of nachos & we got a burnt plate. Called the waitress & she started arguing that it was like that every time. The manager came & explained that this is actually pretty good & that sometimes the chips come out charcoal black (!!!).

No way this is appropriate. The food is not good & the service worse.

Special respectful thanks to Chantal's & Pascale who work hard & create nutritious delicious prepared meals for my 95 year old father living independently . These meals have allowed my father to live in the comfort of his family home since the pandemic. He can even have guests & serve great food.

3 Star Review from 2022:
(Updated 2025 Review below)

I've loved the Manoir for decades. 5 Stars! When my family asked me'Pete, you are flying in from Amsterdam for a funeral… where do you want to meet for dinner?' I didn't hesitate'Le Manoir' obviously.

There is nothing better than walking into the warm, inviting, & ultra Canadian setting of Le Manoir on a cool, rainy night (remember when the wood burning fire would warm you right up?) & ordering a quart of Labatt 50 (aka cinquante!) & a Canadienne Platter of pigs knuckles & Tourtierre.

It feels like coming home. Until they change the menu & forgo the Canadienne/Quebecoise platter for generic pub fare. Then you get slapped in the face when they tell you they don't have quarts of 50 or even 50 on tap. What hellish alternate universe have I landed in? How is this possible? Bud? Bud light? No quarts of Molson Export? No Labatt 50? Is this just another pub? Am I in Ontario?

Oh no… (I look around) the Leaf's are on all the tv's… is that what's happened to Le Manoir? Is this now a subsidiary of Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Group? Did we let the enemy in the front door? Wake up West Island. Don't let them degrade this fine establishment anymore. The mini Vegas in the back was really bad. No tourtierre is worse. The lack of 50 is criminal.

-- 3 years later -- 2025

I'm back for another funeral…

Good news. Quarts of Labatt 50 have returned to compliment the Patte de cochon! I'll be back in the spring looking for the return of the Canadienne or'Quebecoise' platter with Tourtierre. My patience & devotion to co venue to located institutions should be rewarded.

I went to le'petit Manoir (AKA The Rez for old timers) for breakfast on this trip as well.
What's the deal with the mini-Vegas vibes in the back by the toilet & all the video gambling machines…? (Besides making easy money from addicts?) it really drags the joint down a few notches on the nostalgic Montreal historic institutional rankings.

Huge TV screen great to watch your favorite sports & games here. Some of the huge TV give you a feeling of being at the sporting arena/ stadium

Their Turkey meals are great & thanksgiving. Their Christmas meal is also excellent! Well prices & good portions. However. Be prepared to wait a long time during those holidays.

Food is excellent & we've been eating there for many years, but I'm quite disappointed & grossed out for the lack of cleanliness of the restaurant specially the main entrance & terrace. Getting worse by the day.
I'm beginning to doubt about the hygiene of the kitchen & where food is prepared.

These two gentlemen have retired from the MUHC but continue to organize our breakfast club every other month, getting the group together & enjoying each other's company here. The service & food are excellent!!

Limited menu, what I ordered was fresh. Not expensive. Popular place, busy at lunch. Can't say I would go back there unless someone insisted on it.

A favourite spot for me for the last 53 years, it's still serves excellent food in a convivial, lively atmosphere. Still has hard chairs, lots of space & lots of wait staff, keeping the place humming.
GREAT place for a beer.
